Got this to add ethernet to an existing outlet that had just a cable connection. Easy install. Fittings connected properly. Also well made.

Worked great, allowed me to extend cable and ethernet from existing in the wall cables.

This was an easy install in a newly finished basement. The Ethernet cable was a standard cable that had the RJ-45 end on it. The wall plate has a coupler connection so it is just like extending the existing cable. The same is true for the Coax which has the standard screw on antenna type connection.

If you are looking for the perfect faceplate for your "Home Lab" project this is it. I recently ran a Cat6 wire through a wall and needed a wall plate. I initially bought some that were just the Cat6 plug. But halfway through I decided to move the cable modem closer to the action. I saw this wall plate and immediately purchased it. I love the fact that the keystones can be switched out at anytime. They easily pop in and out. It is made of high quality plastic so there are no worries that it will crack easily when you install it.

Purhased this as I was upgrading our home to having Cat6 wired ethernet. At several of our existing cable TV outlets, I found that it was easy to run Cat6 cabling as well, so I chose these outlets to host both the cable TV connection, plus the Cat6 connection. It's a solid upgrade from what I had before. The new outlet houses both of the connections, looks good and secures the two connection types into the plate well; there's no wiggle in the ports. The design looks good and the color of the panel matches all our other plates. As I upgrade other outlet boxes, I'll likely chose these plates.
