Worked Perfectly, installation was easy, increased my storage capacity by adding a second 512GB drive, very good value for money spent, speed of drive is very good when tested with CrystalDiskMark - I found the speed to be within manufacturer's specifications. I installed the 512GB m.2 drive in my 2in1 7390 Dell Latitude's PCIe WWAN port. So the 128GB to 256GB limit is NOT true. I will be testing a 1TB drive soon enough and will report back. For now I partitioned my primary 1TB SK Hynix Gold m.2 into two partitions and copied the system installation to the spare drive as a permanent backup and can use VM for almost perfect security. I am very happy with this purchase and will come back with the make and model of the secondary drive I used for anyone wanting that information.

My kid has a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming laptop that has a 512 GB NVMe SSD in the standard 2280 form factor as stock. There is a second M.2 slot that’s set for the far less common 2242 form factor. I mistakenly assumed Lenovo also included a hole in the motherboard to allow installation of a 2230 drive, but that wasn’t the case. As such, I needed this adapter to convert the spare 2230 SSD into one that would accommodate the 2242 slot. It’s worked absolutely perfectly so far. The upgraded drive fit snugly in the extension, was detected immediately by Windows, and there’s been no observable difference in performance.

Works in T480, but make sure you're using a Gen3 NVME drive. Gen4 does not seem to work.

I used this in combination with a M.2 Adapter to 2.5 Inch SATA and got it to work dough with some trouble at first,but its working,well,so far as least.

This adapter works perfectly for me! It lets you use a 2230 nvme drive in a 2242 slot. Since the release of the steam deck and similar portable handheld pcs, 2230 drives have become increasingly common, more so than 2242 at the moment. So this adapter is a great way to take advantage of that fact. I use this with a Lenovo Thinkpad T480. On this laptop, the wwan slot can accept at 2242 ssd instead. It is only running with 2 pcie lines however, so it isn't recommended for uses where speed is a necessity. I personally use it for extra storage and a secondary OS, and for that it works great!

Pin-to-pin adapter, doesn't work for a SN740 in the T480's WWAN slot. Works fine to fit in a desktop though.

Did not work in a T480 WWAN slot with a 2TB WD SN770M SSD. Slot and SSD were independently verified to be functional.

This adapter is a lifesaver! I have an M.2 slot that will support NVMe SSDs (not SATA) but has a B-Keyed socket. Be aware that because this has the B-slot (as well as the M-slot), it does (or should) reduce the maximum bandwidth of NVMe SSDs. It's working great for me! For those in a similar situation: Mine is a ThinkPad T580, where the 2242 M.2 WWAN slot can accept an NVMe SSD, but it has a B-Keyed socket. This allowed me to use an M-keyed SSD (2230), giving me access to larger capacity drives and a wider selection of them! This information should also apply to the ThinkPad T480.

Ho preso questo adattatore per usare un SSD NMVe SN530 su un Lenovo T480, l' adattatore funziona perfettamente, ho installato MacOS su quel disco e non da il minimo problema.

Cheap and works. Slot was a little tight and overall dimensions slightly short of 2242 but screwed down fine. Only warning is that B+M key will lock you to 2 lanes max PCIe which might cut drive speeds - if you're using an NVME drive and know your port supports more, look for something with only M key.

Funcionó perfecto, lo había comprado para una Lenovo x380 Yoga, ya que se me había roto el puerto M2 y quería usar el puerto WWAN para colocar otro SSD, si alguien desea optar por esa alternativa, debe utilizar un M2 2230 para que entre correctamente. Eso si, la velocidad del SSD es un 25%, no como iría en el puerto tradicional, pero a mí me basta con eso.
