I’ve been using the JT Eaton 902 Top Loader Rodent Bait Station, and I’m blown away by how effective and well-designed it is! This black, weather-resistant station with dual entrances has been a total game-changer for keeping rats and mice at bay around my property. It’s compatible with bait blocks, liquid, or granular bait, and it’s become my secret weapon for a rodent-free home. My garage and backyard are finally peaceful, and I’m giving this five stars without hesitation! The setup is so easy—pop open the top with the included hex key, load it up with bait blocks (I use JT Eaton’s peanut butter flavor blocks), and secure it shut. The vertical design is brilliant—it keeps the bait elevated and dry, even in rain, and the dual entrances let rodents come in from either side. I’ve mounted mine along the fence line where I used to see roof rats scampering, and it’s perfect for those tight, tricky spots. The weather-resistant ABS plastic feels tough and durable, holding up to sun, wind, and storms without a hitch. These JT Eaton 902's are the best bait station out there - particularly if the vertical profile isn't an issue. The tube is a clear through hole (the bait is elevated) so the animals see an unobstructed tube and won't avoid entry due to any perceived obstruction. Direct access. No corners. Key. The elevated bait lets rain and irrigation flow through and keeps bait dry Included and installed baffles keep racoons, possums, squirrels and birds out. Kids arms too. These are easily removed (push tab below and pull) if you don't want or need the baffles. Tube ends long enough to keep cats and particularly dogs from accessing bait. At 6 for $60 they cost less to buy than to build (there are common plans on the internet of this design). Extremely durable. Very thick ABS plastic. Narrow profile - goes right up against a walk or walk way. Holds 4-6 of the bait chunks and keeps it dry Key is hex wrench. Comes with them (one each in the 6 pack - no stingy single key seller!). I put a paracord loop on several of the keys and hang a key off each pail of bait so it's always handy. Hex wrench key is also not some funky weird lever key. Just unscrew the screw. So tamper resistent but no multi finger unlock. I'm on my second box of 6. And you want lots. One for each run/stretch of wall inside or out. So attic, crawl space, outside. I need another box of 6. I have great luck with the Farnham's One Bite and I'm adding in the JT Eaton Apple and Peanut so there is variety in each station. This particularly for outside where I want voles and mice and chipmunks. I have near zero luck with Tomcat baits myself. Repeater trap - they work for no poison - but you must tend them (or else this mess). Do your self a favor - buy a case at a time.

I gave 4 stars for value as they seem to fluctuate in price. I had seen this system on YouTube where they made them out of PVC. Well , again depending on current price, by the time you buy the materials , cut and assemble, these are cheaper and offer more options. These do not require a stand though if you want to, they have screw tabs to allow for mounting, and mounting in various positions as well. The top is tamper proof for nosy people and critters , but easy to open. I also like the fact that they hold 4 average chunk baits. My only gripe again was the fact the price went up after I first ordered. one case never arrived, no problem Amazon credited me on the spot, asked if I wanted someone to call to replace the order. I declined figured they had enough to do and I was hard to reach bye phone anyway. When I went to reorder the price jumped about $5 apiece! Chit! Should have had them replace my order, lol. Anyway, yes I recommend them wholeheartedly.

This is effective when using rat poison outdoors. I use it in conjunction with Tomcat With Bromethalin Bait Chunx. Together this helps me control mice and voles around my house. I once used a "professional" exterminator who placed rat poison around my house by simply placing it on the ground (exposed and not in any type of bait station) around my home's foundation. After watching this "professional" tackle and solve my problem I realized that I could do this at a fraction of the cost and by using this bait Station control rodents more responsibly than the "professional" I had hired.
