All dyes are built on pigment bases, and Rit dye tends to run slightly more purple. I would recommend trying to do a light tan underneath the Pearl grey dyes, and do swatch tests on scrap white fabrics first. You won’t be able to achieve the marle effect, but you will get a relatively flat dye. Not only is it easy to use, it worked brilliantly too. My sheets look bran new. One bottle was enough for 2 double sheets. ### ⭐ Cherry Red turned out pink on white polyester. *by J***A on 18 November 2025* The instructions on the bottle are so tiny, it's difficult to see even with magnifying glasses. I found the company's web site which had clear to see instructions how to use the dye read the instructions and followed them. I purchased 2 bottles of cherry red and followed the instructions on the company's web site. The results were very disappointing. The white polyester tablecloth turned out pink and nowhere near to cherry red.
