I used it to build a flu for my wood fired kiln. I wasn't expecting much from this product. But I was surprised after my first firing. I heated my kiln up to 1,600 degrees F. The refractory looked the same as it did before the firing. This refactory cement is quite wonderful and can take a lot of heat easily. I found it easy to work with. It did have some smaller stones but for my application of it, that didn’t hinder my process at all.Original review: The bag I received for this order was patch worked together. I’m not sure if it was broken or what and they just kept adding tape to it to get it to 20lbs. The first bag I received was the complete item.
