Precious Metal Clay One Fire Sterling is a fantastic and simple way to create designs in Sterling Silver, from beginner to expert level. The main advantage to this new and improved clay is that it is now a one-step as opposed to the old two-step process, thus allowing you to work quicker and more efficiently. The clay-like material has a silver purity of 96% and 4% copper. This 22.5g pack of Precious Metal Clay One Fire Sterling contains Sterling Silver particles, along with a water-based binding agent which allows it to be moulded, sculpted or carved to create versatile jewellery designs. It is also ideal for use with mixed media such as glass, ceramics or fireable gemstones. Once fired, Precious Metal Clay One Fire Sterling can be hallmarked as Sterling Silver (at least .925). It is very strong once fired, making it ideal for high wear and tear jewellery items such as rings. This 22.5g pack of Precious Metal Clay One Fire Sterling gives a net Sterling Silver weight of 20g once fired. Precious Metal Clay One Fire Sterling should be fired in a kiln at 870°C - 900°C (1600°F - 1650°F) for one hour when the design is made of Precious Metal Clay One Fire Sterling only. The shrinkage rate is approximately 15%. Please note that only certain types of gemstones are safe for firing in precious metal clays. This is an eco-friendly product, containing recycled silver. Do not use with aluminium foil or aluminium tools and this clay requires no carbon.
