I can see this being useful for checking out hard to reach/see issues for automobiles, as a bore scope, use cases where the issue you are looking for is small and in a confined area. I purchased to send through duct work, inside interior wall channels and it was not so easy for me to get it to do what I wanted and see the entire area. I'm keeping it because I've always wanted one of these and it should do fine for what I've described.
