## Description

A five pack of our .223 Remington dummy rounds made from our proprietary hard polymer. Made in USA and constructed of Magpul polymer.

Review: Perfect in everyway. - Great material, thought it would get scratched up and chipped practicing different malfunctions repeatedly. But it's a very solid plastic. I thought I didn't like the color being black, but now as I write this review, I realize, black is the perfect color, if it's DARK, you won't be able to see the casing anyway! So great way to clear malfunctions while blind. Such a safe way to practice, great way to dry fire and teach. The perfect size for magazine and chamber.
Review: These are great, others issues with them are due to feed ramps most likely! - These are great dummy rounds, and I have had excellent results with them. I see some users, especially a recent one (right before my review) showing the rounds being chewed up from feeding in their rifle. This is most likely due to how their feed ramps are cut, not the rounds themselves. I have a higher end 5.56 upper and barrel with polished feed ramps (as it should be) and PERFECT deburring. These rounds don't get hung up, or get chewed up, and in fact they feed FLAWLESSLY. They are great for training and mag drills, as well as "snapping" to prevent any dry fire damage (which you shouldn't really need to worry about these days, but being careful is always a plus). If you are on the fence, don't worry, these are great.. They are a polymer material, so no, they won't last an eternity, but they are great for what they are!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can you dry Fire with these? I can't see paying $8 for only 2 snap caps when I can get 5 of these for $10.**
A: I contacted Magpul directly on dry fire....here is their response - Direct from Magpul Tech Team...Yes. Our dummy rounds are specifically designed for all safe side practice use in your rifle. They are made from the same polymer our PMAGS are made from. They will not affect or damage your firing pin if you do a dry fire test over and over again. They are made to the standard specs of a .223/5.56 rnd so you can test cycle and fire your weapon safely. Hope this helps. Thanks

**Q: has anyone tried these with a Tavor**
A: Works fine in my Tavor but, like the AR, they're very tight in the chamber. I would suggest giving the case body a verrrry light sanding to reduce the exterior dimensions so they slide in and out of the chamber more easily. If you're using them to practice failure drills it won't replicate a true failure since you'll have to yank on that charging handle much harder then normal to extract them.

**Q: What is the point of owning these?**
A: I am 30 yr gun collector/shooter etc. I always use dummy rounds to function test any new guns I buy as I only buy thru online dealers never from local gunshops so I use these type rounds for again function tests before I accept any transfer from my FFL.

I also use em for again tests after repair or modding my guns as well as for malfunction and reloading drills etc as dry firing your gun will cause unnecessary wear. Just make sure you never never have live ammo in the same room as your firearms or practice rounds. Its a golden rule!

**Q: Do these leave plastic plastic shavings or debris in internals of the gun?**
A: Any good gun owner would keep his weapon clean and ready. Punch the bore and swab the barrel as if you just fired on the range with live rounds. Any plastic in the bore or barrel will be gone.

Great for dry firing practice and practice for clearing malfunctions. Really high-quality molds. These have helped me familiarize myself with my new rifle as this is the first time owning an AR.
