Can I set this to "always on" and then use it with an external timer?

Will turning on a light near the transformer make the transformer turn off? What if it’s in timer mode? Will it turn off mid timer if light is sensed?

Will this work with a better homes and garden quick fit lighting kit?

My son keeps getting the error light. He has only hooked up 3 lights so far so not over and not short circuit. Ideas?

The error light comes on when something is shorted out. Check each fixture, each wire, each bulb for continuity. You have to do a process of elimination to find the cause.

No more adjusting a timer

I have had low voltage landscape lighting for many years, and upgraded to a dusk to dawn transformer for the lights in the front and side of the house. The rear yard was still on a mechanical timer and I had to change the timer at every season change. Now, no more changing anything and it comes on when it starts to get dark and goes off at sunrise. It was simple to set up and seems to work well.

Works great

This timer is easy to use, and it works fantastic for low voltage 12 volt outdoor LED lighting but after buying it we decided that solar lights were the way to go. Easier to work with and long lasting too.

Got this transformer to power step lights on my deck. Works well so far. It powers 5 2w lights using the photocell to automatically turn on/off.

So much better than the older mechanical timers that lost track after a power outage. This one comes on when its dark and shuts off when its light. A lot smaller than the older ones.
