They are the perfect weight because the puppies can’t move them around, but they are lighter weight than some of the other ones are and are easy for me to move them around. The door allows me to step through and also to section them off. With two pens put together I can move them into one area and close the door so they can’t get in there with me while I clean, then I open it up and let them back into the other area. In one side, I put bedding and their water bowl and toys and then the other side I have puppy pads where they learn to potty away from where they sleep, and it helps to jumpstart the housebreaking process in doing this. My puppies never go potty in any other area by the time they are 4 1/2 weeks old. I love these exercise pens and literally could not do without them. Very good quality and value for money.
