This light is exceptional. It gives a halo effect on the photo which is perfect for a portrait. The light is adjustable, both vertically on the frame and back and forth in front of the portrait. I was going to purchase a timer to be able to control when the light comes on each day but it has one built in. You wait until the time you want it to come on, turn it on, and press the number of hours you want. I turned it on at 4:30 pm and then pushed 6 hours (it will flash to let you know it’s on a timer). Now it turns on every day at 4:30 pm and turns off at 10:30 pm. Amazing! It is a very sturdy light, not flimsy at all. It is definitely more along the rose-gold color, more copper than true brass, but is very attractive. I didn’t like the wire hanging down the wall so I purchased a wire cover channel, ran it down the wall and along the baseboard and am waiting for an outlet cover for the plug. Looks professional and blends well. The plug is vertical so it doesn’t stick out on the wall. Definitely a good purchase for much less than many other lights. Will purchase another when the need arises.

I have bought a number of this wonderful, high-end style light, and keep coming back for more. My father-in-law is an artist, and we use these to showcase his paintings in our home. Very stylish and looks like gallery quality. We love the functionality of the remote control too - we set it to come on/go off at the same time every evening. So far on the same battery it came with, so good life. We love these so much more than the traditional horizontal painting lights.

This small light really spreads light across a wide area. We hung it over a 50" wide painting and it lights up the whole area. Sleek elegant design and easy to install! Love that it can be plugged in! The remote control is very handy and we enjoy the dimming and timer features! I recommend this light!

The light does not illuminate a large 2 x 3 foot photograph. I installed it and the light covers about a one foot diameter, leaving most of the picture in the dark. It is difficult to remove or I would have returned it. I do like the remote control feature, but need a more powerful light pattern.

I have purchased similar lights from another manufacture at four or five times the cost. These are small lights that come with a remote control that works very well. However, the same remote control works for two or three lights which is perfect for me. However, if you have Lights that need separate remote units. This is not for you. I’ve use these over the desk and my ham radio shack. They are adequate and bright enough so that I can see the equipment And write.

The light is so small it it hard to see. If you do notice it, it is elegant and unobtrusive, the resulting light on the painting makes the art just glow. We leave it on 24/7. The wire is is so thin it is also almost invisible. The remote works perfectly and the ability to dim or brighten is a nice feature.

Edit January 20, 2025 - I can't add a 6th star star for the product, but would like to give the customer service 5 stars too! During a fit of pre-holiday cleaning, I accidentally threw away the remote for this light. I had already disconnected it to move for holiday decorating. The remote is needed to reset everything when normal decor is resumed, so this was pretty tragic. I contacted the company explaining my dumbheaded action and they sent me a new remote! Fantastic customer service on an already great product! I can't get a photo to show how perfect this thing is because my phone thinks it should brighten everything up. The painting I have it on is a night scene with moonlight. I have the light aimed on the moon, dimmed down and it's perfect, making it look like the moon is really shining down. The last light I bought after a lot of research and measuring lit up the entire living room even on the lowest setting. I hated it! But this, one? LOVE IT!
