Both the product and Technical Support were awesome. I had previously used VC500 on windows pc and received excellent tech support to get it going. Overtime, I moved to Mac. I called Tech support and the voice sounded familiar. Joseph guided me to an upgrade product for Mac (and windows) VC500SE. He emailed the instructions and required manual. Straight plug in and play. No drivers to download. I was amazed at the ease and in a week, I transferred 26 VHS tapes to Digital on Mac at my schedule. I informed other friends now. My highest appreciation for Joseph. Noteworthy is after trying to call two times on Monday, not able to leave a message and about to give up disappointed, I get a call. It was Joseph. Thereafter, it was a breeze.

The Diamond VC500SE works beautiful;y. My PC was quickly found the driver and enabled me to use my existing conversion software program with ease. The quality of the capture using my software has been exceptional. I have over the years used many different capture devices but this one has exceeded my expectations.

This product works really well when you use it with Quicktime. I bought it to digitize a bunch of old 8mm digital video from a camcorder. I could never get the software they offered to work and had no luck with Premiere Pro either. But it works great if you just open quicktime and choose 'New Movie Recording' if you're using a Mac.

As stated above, this device captures high-quality video from analogue sources like VHS and laserdisc but is not capable of capturing a stereo signal, so all your transferred content will be in mono. Buyer beware.

Software does not correctly with windows 10 or 11. Got recording software to work on Windows 10 and I attempted to recorded a 90 minute video and had only the last 30 minutes on the file. Updated software from manufacturer website did not work, the video editing software would not install at all.
