Tanning Essentials by St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Lotion 950ml

Horrible!!..an avid supporter of St Tropez for years however this product is disappointingly complete rubbish!

I always use st tropez and thought I'd found a real bargain but I think the product that I received had gone off. The tan was green in colour, even after shaking it. It doesn't make me any browner. I should have sent it back really but never got round to it.

Best on the market and should be used carefully, quickly and with a mitt, on exfoliated and moisturized (legs in my case). It will look dark at first so best to put on in morning with shorts or undies on and shower off after 6-8 hrs, wouldn’t sleep with self tanner on, for best results. A beautiful natural looking tan. Don’t worry— it doesn’t stay green!!

Veteran male self-tanner here, and this is the best and darkest product I have ever experienced. I had to actually wash it off my face after an hour to reduce the depth of color! I've NEVER done that. The tan goes on dark, and I'm pretty sure it would rub off on sheets and light clothes, so wear a black shirt and shorts the day you apply it. Once you shower, that color transfer should not be a problem. There is only a slight hint of scent after a couple of hours, but nothing to be bothered by. I did not see a greenish cast to the product going on - but rather a deep neutral brown tone to the guide color. It looked like a dark tan instantly. If I were going out and dressing right after application, I would either wear dark clothes, or do a DRY wipedown with an old towel, after about 30 minutes. That should be enough to keep the majority of the color from transferring to your clothes. My experience with these tanners with guide color is that the transfer washes out in the laundry, so not a permanent problem. This product, for me, beats Bondi Sands and Tanology products easily. Worth the splurge.

This is the best, deepest, longest lasting tan I’ve ever had in my life! It has a red tint to it which for my pale skin makes it look natural like I’ve been out in the sun. My old go to used to be the the b.tan I want the darkest tan possible which has a green olive tint which is great because I am more olive toned but the tan would only last 4 days and wasn’t that dark. This st tropez takes about 10 days to fade and is soooo dark. The best part is that it DOES NOT SMELL on the skin!!!!!!!!!! I have only noticed a smell if I get the fake tan on my palms or soles of my feet whereas with other tanners like the bondi sands or b.tan the smell was horrible for 3-4 days and made me feel sticky where this st tropez doesn’t make you feel gross while you’re developing. I have also tried the normal st tropez but couldn’t justify the price which is why the b.tan was my go to but now trying this violet tan I will never go back to any other tanners!
