Perfect fit, works just like the OEM. Super easy to set up.
I got 2017 GM. The FOB I use daily is grungy and all the paint wore off. A couple years ago, the Chevy Dealer wanted $275 for 1 new FOB and programming. I bought used one in good shape, and the local locksmith wanted $100 to reprogram it. Fast forward to today, I find this gem for next t nothing, and the swapping of the innards took just minutes. It is a perfect match.

Better Than the OEM Original.
Easy to swap out. Perfect fit. Works Great. Looks much better than the GM original, especially the chrome sides. Iโm replacing both my fobs with this one.

Easy replacement for worn out FOB
This was a replacement for a 2017 Silverado 4 button key FOB with a torn unlock button that caused the doors to unlock randomly and often. This replacement case had metal side pieces and metal battery holder. It came with the metal sides pieces detached so it was easy to open. The existing electronics and battery fit exactly into it and all 4 buttons functions well. The hardest part was taking the metal pieces off the original FOB. This FOB case is a good value and only took about 10 minutes to put together.

Good quality buttons are just touchy now
Overall the feel and looks of it are very nice. It definitely be the old worn out dirty fob that I have. Only problem that I have with this is the buttons are so touchy. I generally leave my keys in my pocket but I am constantly sitting off the alarm unlocking walking as the buttons are too easy to push. Overall I would buy again as it does fit and function it's just touchy

Really nice case!
I bought this to replace the terribly worn case for my 2021 Chevy Colorado. This is ONLY the case. You will have to disassemble your old remote and install the circuit board into this. It's not very difficult, just take your time. There are some good videos on YouTube that show the process. NOTE: You WILL break the tabs on your old case that attach the chrome side pieces to the black plastic, rendering the old case useless. It appears that this is just the way it is molded. I was surprised to find out the chrome pieces on this case are metal! BEFORE YOU SNAP THE SIDE PIECES ON, MAKE SURE THE REMOTE WORKS! I liked this one so much, I bought a second one for the future. Also note that if you have a back piece with the Chevy "bow tie" emblem on it, you can use it on the new remote as this one has just a plain back.

Here is some helpful information
None of the reviews on this product provide useful information, so hopefully this will help some people decide. This is a CASE ONLY. You must have an existing key fob to buy this, and you must open up the factory one to switch over the microchip. This WILL NOT work by itself. Since you are switching over your currently working key fob microchip, you do not need to get it programmed at the dealer. If you need a completely new key fob, there are options on Amazon that come with a completely new key fob and programming tool for around $50. Those seem to be hit or miss, but itโs still way cheaper than the dealer. Thereโs not a lot of good videos out there on opening up the original key fob case (the only slightly hard part), and I donโt want to give any specific advice because I essentially destroyed my old case with a flat head screwdriver trying to get out the old microchip. I will say to pry open near the bottom where the key ring goes through. If you pry near the top by the lock/unlock buttons your screw driver will definitely be scraping up against the microchip. Now for this case: The original case has a rubbery front on it. It feels better, but wears out quickly (which is why so many people are buying these aftermarket cases). This one looks the same as the original from a distance, but itโs obviously cheaper quality once you feel it. I will say, the side chrome pieces are actually made out of metal instead of plastic, which was a nice surprise. The front of this case is a hard plastic, not rubber like the original. Who knows how long the front will last, I donโt think this key fob design has been around long enough for people to be able to test out the durability of it. However, for $10 a case, you really canโt go wrong. Itโll last long enough. I really donโt care that the front is plastic on this case. However, here is why I only give 3 stars. The case is just a millimeter or two, too small for the microchip. You can feel that the case doesnโt quite close all the way around the microchip, and when you snap everything together, itโs a tight fit. It doesnโt feel tight enough to damage the microchip, but just slightly too tight (as in front to back/ thickness of the case). Because of the tight fit, the buttons are extremely sensitive. You WILL get accidental button pushes in your pocket. Just note that that lock button seems to be the easiest to press. I donโt care if my vehicle locks again; however, if the unlock button were any easier to push, I would send it back. I would say these buttons are about 3X more sensitive than in the original factory case. Simply lightly placing your finger on the lock button will actuate the button. On my first trip to the store with the new key fob case, my truck locked on me again when putting the keys into my pocket. Since the horn honks when locking, I can see this becoming annoying over time. Like I said, since itโs the lock button and not the unlock button that is the most sensitive, itโs not as much as a safety issue. I wouldnโt want to chance accidentally unlocking my vehicle when putting the keys into my pocket. All that being said, I will still keep the key fob case. The dealer will charge $100 for a new key fob, and another $50 to program it. I went to the dealer, and this is what they tried to charge me. Iโll stick to $10 on Amazon for a new case, even with the poorer quality and performance. The extra cost simply isnโt worth a new one from the dealer. One more thing to note, I looked at pretty much all the cases available on Amazon for this key fob. Every one seemed to have something negative about it. Either too big, too small, or even poorer quality materials. This one seems to be overall OK on everything, and a solid 3/5 star product.

Great for the Price, but don't work with the O-ring
After 11 years of use my factory fobs had started to show signs of deterioration, so I wanted to replace them. Chose to try these to replace the covers of both of my fobs, since these covers seemed to have decent reviews. Overall opinion is favorable they do seem to be well made and of solid construction and yes they even use real metal beauty parts. There is one concern that appeared with them, the tolerances of the back plate that covers the battery do appear to be a bit on the looser side. Yes, they do connect together fine but hey do not firmly hold the O-ring in place and when closed there is a slight bulge to the cover. So I choose to not install the O-ring and the bulge in the cover was removed. Overall, I agree with the other reviews and do think for the price ( under $10 each) you can't go wrong.
