The Makrolon GP general-purpose polycarbonate sheet has a gray transparent color and meets Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 972 specifications for burglary-resistant glazing materials and UL 94 HB specifications for flame retardance. Makrolon GP polycarbonate (PC) is suitable for industrial glazing, machine guards, structural parts, and thermoformed and fabricated parts. It is a durable plastic that provides toughness, dimensional stability, and impact resistance.  Plastic refers to a group of synthetic or semi-synthetic materials that have been engineered to achieve specific properties. The most notable characteristics of plastics are its low weight, machinability, corrosion resistance, and typically good thermal and electrical insulating properties.
