The WORX MAKERX WX992L 20V 2pc Crafting Tool Combo Kit combines a brushless rotary tool and a 20V battery-powered airbrush, delivering professional-grade power and precision in a compact, ergonomic design. Featuring variable speed control (5,000-35,000 RPM), universal bit compatibility, and a unique Power Share battery system that powers over 75 WORX tools, this kit includes 45 accessories plus durable storage solutions—perfect for millennial makers who demand versatility, portability, and style in their creative toolkit.

## Description

Small by design, still packed with power. The Worx MAKERX Rotary Tool with Brushless Motor fits nicely in your hand. The variable speed control lets you pick just the right amount of juice for the job (5,000-35,000 rpm), which you can control right from the Hub. And it’s fitted with the common collet size of 1/8”. It can work with all standard collet sizes, so it accepts the bits and accessories of other brands. Get the MAKERX Rotary Tool and start engraving glass, wood, and metal. The Worx MAKERX Air Brush is more nimble than other air brushes, due to its slim form factor. But because it’s backed by a 20V battery, it’s actually more powerful, and lasts longer on a single charge—it’s the only portable 20V air brush on the market, actually. There’s no need for an air compressor, it’s just your MAKERX Air Brush and the Hub going where you go. With its 0.4 mm precision nozzle, it excels at fine, detailed jobs, like tiny crafts of all kinds. Its pressure rating is 14-18psi, the dual function trigger regulates both the air flow and paint volume and controls its 7 L flow capacity. This kit comes with the roomy and durable MAKERX branded Storage Bag. With more than enough room to carry every tool in this bundle, plus lots of pockets and pouches for extra supplies and materials, too. It’s made of lined, heavy-duty, rip, tear and dirt-resistant 600D Nylon, with a zipped closure to keep it all safe inside. Plus, the Accessory Storage Case keeps all the accessories that come with this kit organized. MAKERX has created crafting and hobby tools that are smaller, but more powerful—the secret lies in the Hub. It’s a power source that you can take with your tool, so if you want to work in the middle of a large space, you can, and still have the power to get the job done. Thoughtful design allowed Worx engineers to make these tools slimmer, so you can hold them with more precision, and provide a level of detail to your projects that’s not possible with other tools.

Review: I've always been impressed with Worx products. I have many of their yard tools, and these crafter tools don't disappoint. I've been a crafter for as long as I can remember. You can't beat the quality of these products. The rotary tool is just as good if not better than any other brands you might know. It's the same with the airbrush. I absolutely recommend these products.
Review: I grabbed the Makerx rotary tool and soldering iron pack while looking for a replacement rotary tool, and I am writing this about 6 months after my purchase, as I am well aware of how the initial period after a new purchase of a cool tool can induce a short period of fan-boy syndrome, before acknowledging a host of glaringly obvious issues. However, I am glad to say that I am still using the Makerx system daily. So, the best parts.. First is it is incredibly light and thin, which is a bonus compared to some of the other lower-cost rotary tools that are almost unwieldy. The speed is 100% constant as long as you don't overuse the tool and apply too much torque, which is standard with most rotary tools and helps to prevent rapidly broken fingers and wrists, this is a precision tool and not to be used in place of a large craftsmen or Makita Drill or an actual drill press. The biggest thing I love about this is that it is whisper quiet, and I have used it many times at 3:00 AM in my small studio apartment where a normal conversation can keep the neighbors awake. While some other rotary tools do have similar features, such as the WEN cordless rotary tool, which is powered by a 4.2v Lithium Ion Battery, the Makerx is powered by a 20v battery with the same power as any other power-tool interchangeable battery, giving the Makerx Immensely more power, RPM, and battery life. In terms oif the Soldering Iron, this has become my standard daily use soldering iron. I also have 2 TS80 Smart soldering irons and a dedicated soldering station. Prior to this, the $100+ TS80 was my main soldering iron, but the Makerx has since surpassed it. It heats up just as fast, keeps the heat, and cools off very fast, has built in temp display and control on the iron, and it works. I can go through tips fast, but the original tip is still perfect on this Sure, I can't play pacman on it or program a boost temp for when I solder things with higher heat-loss properties, but that's really not needed. I turn it on and solder.. that is it. Both devices give me the performance and power of a standard power tool, but while being very portable. As far as the negatives, and everything has a negative.. I noticed the Rotary tool had a tendency of catching the built in chuck, especially when I pushed it beyond it's torque capability. I don't know if this is a specific issue with my unit, or all of them. However, as a Maker, I prefer doing my own repairs, and the Makerx makes this incredibly easy. They have no screws. You unscrew the top and bottom rings and the rotary tool separates easily into little easily replaceable modules. It is neat just to take a look at it to see the little details that went into the engineering of this. I believe the spring wasn't as strong as it should have been, but I ended up removing the chuck, as it is just as easy to use a any nearby item as the key, and it completely removes the chance of an issue. Other than that, you can't use this without a battery. So, if you only have one battery, when it dies, you aren't using these until it is recharged, which is fairly quick, but having the ability to use wall power is a large annoyance at times. However... I do realize that building the power and battery charger into the power hub would add significant size, mass, and most likely cost. So like all awesome tools, we have to deal with a few annoyances for improvements. As far as the soldering iron goes, I have no negatives to report, other than I wish they included a hot-knife blade, but yes, I did buy one..... and that just demonstrates how useful this is.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a charger for the battery?**
A: Yes

**Q: Will this engrave Aluminum?**
A: Yes, with the correct bit.

**Q: Can I use spray paint with this model?**
A: Paint designated for the application is best. Make sure the paint is thin enough to pass through the nozzle without clogging. Clean the nozzle, cup, and cylinder thoroughly after use.

**Q: What kind of Stone would be ideal for engraving with this?**
A: Softer stones will be easier to engrave and take less time. The harder the stone, the more wear you can expect from the tips. Keeping the tip cool will help it last longer. I wouldn't say there's an 'ideal' type of stone; it's more about balancing between your application and the hardness of the stone. I hope this helps!

The Maker X arrived before Christmas and the timing couldn’t have been any better. With winter starting, we were looking for a way to engage everyone in our family with hands-on projects that we could all work on together. Maker X totally delivered. The versatility of the Maker X really sets this tool system apart from other hobby tools I’ve used in the past. Here are a few of the things that stand so far - the fine detailing of the air brush attachment, the precision of the high speed rotor, and it's easy maneuverability in tight crevices and corners and the battery Sharing: We’ve got a few Worx tools now and so having one battery work across every tool, and now the Maker X, as well, is a great advantage because you never run out of juice. Even if someone uses it for the afternoon and forgets to recharge the battery. There's always a spare, charged and ready to go.
