VOS 5G works great, as advertised. 5G/4G cellular internet modem. Great solution when an internet connection is critical. Use as primary secure internet connection at home, work, or when traveling. Or use as failover connection to supplement home or work internet provider. Intended for a single computer connection. Direct cellular connection is more secure than public Wi-Fi or phone hotspot. Using VOS 5G prevents draining phone battery for hotspot, prevents interfering with phone connection to home or work Wi-Fi, and prevents opening your computer to potential hackers when an internet connection is needed in public areas. No charging, ever. Low power needs are supplied from USB connection. Comes with USB-C to USB-C 3.1 cable. USB-C port is common on modern computers. Older computers without a USB-C port will need a USB-C to USB-A 3.1 adaptor or alternate cable, not included. Computer must support USB 3.1 wired network connection. VOS 5G requires data service with an active SIM from a cellular carrier, such as T-Mobile. Device is unlocked. The box includes a T-Mobile SIM that requires activation to function. T-Mobile supports international roaming with unlimited data and various high-speed data options. I contacted Tri Cascade with SIM activation difficulty caused by my identity protection credit locks. The credit requirement is T-Mobile. At Tri Cascade's direction, I resolved the issue with T-Mobile direct SIM activation, which in my case required identity verification. [New Update - Oct 2024] I got in touch with the support about restart issues with the device. Support is saying it's a problem with Macs as they doesn't support the full power needed by the device. NOW How's that my problem, you shouldn't market as supported by Macs and even iPads and Androids. My dongle keeps restarting on all devices. Very misleading. No Warranty coverage provided. you are on your own. Support refused to fix or replace the device. [New Update] Got a replacement sent by Amazon. still the same issue. randomly looses connection when you are in the middle of a zoom call. speed is great, though. but very very unreliable as I do Remote Desktop and it keeps disconnecting. ========================= it works great, when it works, But then keeps restarting randomly about once per 30 minutes. and when it goes down it goes down for 1-2 minutes, so if you are in a meeting, it disconnects, so not very dependable, it is okay for normal surfing, but not for important work like office meetings, video calls etc... tested with my macbook pro 2021. ordered a replacement, will see if that helps.

I have a verizon hotspot with the 100GB data plan and i have a GPD win mini which is a 7 inch mini laptop that i have to carry around that hotspot which is nearly the same size as the laptop. When i saw this it reminded me of those usb EVDO modems from back in the day and i was really excited. When i got it, i popped my verizon sim card in and boom it connected right up, even to 5G. Unfortunately, it does not support band n66. This is the band verizon is rolling out its super fast 5G UW network on, and without it, it makes the device worthless to me. With LTE/5G i'm lucky to get 3-4mbps download. Its so over congested that its almost unusable, on 5G UW band n66, i get 700-1000mbps all day long. If they ever make one of these that supports verizons band n66, i will absolutely buy one.

Surprised by all the negative reviews. I ordered mine last February 2024 and it had been working perfect for my needs. I already had an unlimited Verizon data sim. Soon as the VOS 5G dongle arrived I used it with my Verizon sim on my main laptop and business laptop which both works perfect. I could not get it to work with my MacBook, Android TV device or my PS5, but it does work great for PCs. Also I tried with a t mobile sim which was great, but it does not work with ATT sims. ATT will deactivate your ATT sim if used with this device.

When I first bought this, it worked fine. I think I used this on and off for a year with the same plan on google-fi. Then it just stopped working. No change in devices, and not much can be said to why. The light inside that used to blink red a few times then turn green then blue... now it doesn't do anything other than stay red, blink off, then go back to red. I confirmed the SIM card still works. I think it's just not supposed at this point by my mac, linux, or even windows. I'd say avoid it. For this price, it should have worked much longer.

I was shocked, as soon as I plugged it in, super fast internet was at my fingertips. I was able to do work on my laptop as I was traveling down the road. It was great having a secure network that I didn’t have to worry about being hacked on. The speed was what I expected and it never lagged once. The device itself is nice and sleek, and a nice velvet travel bag was included as well. This was the solution I have been looking for when trying to find a way to work on the go. I will be recommending it to all my coworkers as I believe it’s going to be the next new thing!

At first, I really liked this dongle. I plugged it into my Windows laptop and after about 45 seconds, Windows saw it just like a laptop with a built-in cellular modem. I could control the connection manually or let Windows do it automatically. The speeds were great. I was averaging around 350 Mbps download and about 50 Mbps upload. Then I tried using it for a longer period of time. I'd be browsing the web and lose my connection. I looked at the dongle and both LEDs were off. After a little while it seemed to power up and connect. The longer I used it, the more frequent it would reboot. I see other reviewers with similar complaints. It's either a bad batch or a design flaw. Either way, I'll be returning it.
