So far so good. My daughter uses it and likes it, and we like it quieter in the house.

It does work for lowering the volume of your voice if you're practicing anything with your voice, singing, speeches, etc. The only problem is that as far as singing, you need to hear yourself in order to correct yourself with hitting notes or singing on key...and I found it hard to do this with this gadget. However, if staying "unheard " is your goal, it does help! The ear piece is hard to put on and doesn't really work well btw.

I love it, great for practicing using my diaphragm in my tiny apartment lol and great to let out some yells and screams when I need to vent but don’t wanna be heard haha

Works pretty good

I did not try to use this more than once. It does not mute much. It just muffles and garbles the sound. So not for load sounds. Did not work for me. I am returning it.

Unfortunately, the ear piece does not really work. It also gets pretty condensationy at the mouth part which makes sense but wish it could be prevented.

I'm in the process of restrenthanin my vocals and this fits the bill
