Used for a reading lesson about light and the class loved using them. Good quality!

These prisms are quality glass and work well for doing optical tricks and effects. The edges are chamfered a little so they aren't sharp. You can indeed get a rainbow but it just takes a while to get the right angles with sunlight, and you want to aim the rainbow in a dark area for contrast. Also, the prisms are packaged well and include a cleaning cloth. You'll need it for fingerprints.

Bought for my students to refract light. Worked great!

I bought these as a gift for Our Grandchildren. Then really like to play with them and explain to their friends how these break down white light into different colors. A good science project to explain this and how the sun shines on a rain shower to make a rainbow.

I'm glad this came in a multi pack. Each sibling has their own to 'make rainbows'. The prisms work, they are durable, and similar to 5th Grade Science quality. They aren't huge, but big enough to impress elementary aged kids.

Order for my photography class. They were handled by over 80 students. They held up well. Rainbows were created. They are not over the top huge rainbows, but ones we could look at and photograph. The average size of the rainbow we created was 2 inches on white paper. However one student managed to create a much large rainbow on the white board of a distance of at least 4 feet away via sun coming through our classroom windows.

They will refract light if you get the angle right, but they should have used a more refractive material.
