Good reads! Both had twists I was not expecting, like the character development.

I am not much of a reader but these books were recommended to me by a coworker. They were both so good. I loved the suspense and the thrill of each page. So easy to read!

Beide Bände greifen nahtlos ineinander und bieten durchgängig hohes Erzähltempo, dichte Atmosphäre und überraschende Wendungen. Teil 1 führt in das Leben der jungen Protagonistin ein, die eine Stelle als Hausmädchen bei einer wohlhabenden Familie annimmt. Was zunächst wie ein gewöhnlicher Job wirkt, entwickelt sich zunehmend zu einem psychologischen Spiel mit unvorhersehbaren Entwicklungen. McFaddens Schreibstil ist flüssig, gut lesbar und fesselnd – ideal für Thriller-Fans, die auf psychologische Spannung setzen. Teil 2 knüpft konsequent an die Ereignisse des ersten Bandes an, erweitert die Handlung sinnvoll und bringt weitere Hintergründe ans Licht. Auch hier bleibt der Spannungsbogen konstant hoch. Die Charaktere entwickeln sich glaubwürdig weiter, wobei vor allem die Hauptfigur weiterhin im Mittelpunkt steht. Die Bücher wurden gut verpackt und unbeschädigt geliefert. Beide Exemplare kamen in einwandfreiem Zustand an – keine Knicke, Risse oder Druckfehler. Die Verarbeitung der Printausgabe ist ordentlich, das Schriftbild angenehm lesbar. Insgesamt ein spannendes und durchdachtes Thriller-Duo, das sich besonders für Leser:innen eignet, die psychologisch dichte Geschichten mit Wendungen bis zur letzten Seite schätzen.
