This one definitely does a great job and I really appreciate the fact that the blender head clips on so gears connect properly eliminating any chance that your spouse will strip the gears. : ) As has been noted by others, you do have to engage a safety button as well has the on/off button which is a hassle. I also found the unit a bit bigger and heavier which takes a little to get used to because its a corded product. The speed setting dial is great.
