Garbage Disposal SinkTop Air Switch Kit with Stainless Steel Button, Champagne Gold

I didn’t even know this existed. I was browsing for something else I needed given I was installing a new kitchen sink and I came across this Air Switch. Did we need it…NO, as our disposal switch is steps away from the sink. BUT I’m sure glad I got it! This air switch was the last accessory I put on during the new sink install as I wanted to give my wife a little surprise. I went with the brushed stainless steel switch and it matched up perfectly with the faucet and soap dispenser. The switch came in packaged very nicely and the quality (look and feel) in my opinion is very good. I decided to use mounting screws instead of the adhesive to secure the actual receptacle box to the side of cabinet wall. This gave it a stronger and sturdier mounting. It took me a minute to fully understand the instructions as there are multiple options depending on switch model but once I read it a few times the Installation itself was straightforward and easy. I did end up using the adhesive clip provided to hang the excess air hose up high as I decided not to cut it. Once complete I tested it and was amazed at how easy it was to use AND how great it looked. I asked my wife to try out the new sink and asked her if she noticed anything different. She didn’t at first as I had a brushed stainless cap covering up the counter hole before. The cap was pretty much identical to the Air Switch. But in no time she saw the button in the center of the switch. Once she pressed it and the garbage disposal turned on she let out a short scream / laugh of joy and surprise. She no longer had to walk away from the sink to turn on the disposal, just reach, press to turn on and press again to turn off….. Ahh, the little things in life!

Can be any happier, knowing that will not get any shock because of water seeping into an electrical item. This is air pressure based button and the color matches well with the rest of our accessories.

I just recieved this after looking at many others. Potentially, I would have gone with ISE, but the price spread was significant. I've not yet installed this, but upon careful inspection, it seems to be solidly built. The metal base was important to me and it's done well including the metal mounting components, solid gaskets on each side to prevent leaking. The packaging is sometimes an indication of quality and this was done very well. I carefully examined the button and compared it to the reviews of other products. Looks good with no play when compressing (many times). I'll follow this up if I incur any failures but I give a 5 star at this point.

Very light so definitely not high quality. Easy to install but I don't expect it to last long, especially the paint. Color is off, like an ugly faded washed gold. Size is universal and there's no weird smell. No leaks so far but the paint is already chipping.

Great quality will buy again

*I have to update. Not sure how but it seems to have adjusted itself and is functioning properly now. The button stopped coming all the way back to its original position after only a couple weeks of little usage. Otherwise it looks fantastic, and was easy to install.

Amazing quality and WAY better than the button I bought from Lowe’s for 4x as much! Metal instead of plastic. My $130 button from Lowe’s lasted 6 months before the thread broke and button fell inside. I can’t believe I wasn’t patient enough to wait 2 days for something that was better.
