Versatile and Delicious Vegan Option - A Must-Try!
I've been using Butler Foods Soy Curls for a while now, and they are an absolute game-changer for anyone following a vegan diet or looking to cut down on meat consumption. These curls are effortless to prepare. You rehydrate the amount you need in water, which only takes a few minutes. After squeezing the excess water, you can marinate them in your favorite sauces or seasonings. What I love about these soy curls is their versatility. Depending on your preference, you can chop them up for different dishes, bake them, or sautรฉ them. They absorb flavors wonderfully, making them a fantastic addition to stir-fries, tacos, or a protein-packed salad topping. Traveling with them is also super convenient, especially when you need a reliable vegan protein source to cook quickly at a hotel or a campsite. They are non-GMO and preservative-free, which makes them a healthy choice. Without the added spices or sauces, the curls will not have flavor. Some people may not like it. But we are happy to eat them from time to time.

Move over Costco roast chicken.
This brand is the clear choice among soy curls. -How the beans are grown and processed is a major plus. I've been a devotee of Costco roast chickens for years. Tasty, convenient, affordable. I am not vegetarian so it's been an easy option to buy a couple...bring them home...debone/shred...pack into individual bags and freeze for quick future use. THAT SAID: I've been bothered about how the chickens are raised (antibiotics, etc), and the mystery of whatever "spice" concoction is injected into them before roasting. Butler soy curls soybeans are grown without chemical pesticides, and contain ALL the soybean (NOT de-fatted) so all-in-all is a minimally processed food. As with tofu, there is no flavor per-se so they take on whatever flavors and spices you put in and on them. No de-boning. No antibiotics. No mystery "spices". I am in control and they end up like the tastiest shredded chicken I can imagine. Also: GET THE CHIK-STYLE SEASONING. It's a large bottle and worth every penny. You'll use it on the curls as well as everything else instead of just salt, etc. Update: I've now begun ordering directly from their website. It's less expensive, ESPECIALLY since I'm now ordering in BULK. Jodi is a dream to work with. I am so thankful to have found this quality product and this company! (No, this is not a paid endorsement. I rarely write reviews, so if I seem effusive, this product and company has EARNED my praise!)

Give them a try!
These are delicious and very versatile. My husband uses them to make Asian style meals, and they're a surprisingly good replacement for meat. We found that we like them better cold They're fine hot, too, the texture is just better cold in our opinion. I'd recommend these. Give them a try!

New favorite ingredient
It's been harder to find vegan grilled chicken strips in the store where I live so I decided to try these. They're much easier than I expected and have been trying multiple styles. They soak up a lot of flavor so it's easy to add protein to a lot of out favorite dishes. The texture is very similar to a shredded chicken. I looking forward to try different recipes and it's so much cheaper than other items we by frozen.

I can see what my Oregon friends were talking about
I'm a vegetarian - almost a vegan - but hear me out, that is NOT why I highly recommend Butler's Soy Curls. Or not only that! I've paid almost no attention to products I thought of as meat-replacements, because I was raised vegetarian on Indian food. But these are SO much more than that. Some friends from Oregon were talking about being homesick for 'soy curls', and at first I thought it must be an especially good meat substitute. But my friends are dedicated meat-eaters! Turns out these are a treasured regional product on their own terms. So I tried them partly because my friends sold me on the idea of trying a famous Oregon product, based on African traditions of nutrition. And partly because looking at the nutrition info won me over immediately. Check it out - one serving has 22% of daily protein needs, and almost no fats or carbs - plus most of the latter is fibre. That, to me, is more like a superfood than the latest exotic grain trend. By now I've tried out 8-10 different meals with these. I'm a convert!! True, to a non-vegetarian, these probably also feel/taste like chicken. But as an added advantage, to a vegetarian like me, they don't taste insistently chickeny at all! They're incredibly absorbent, and 'catch' flavors really strongly. Even the laziest cooking in some sauce, curry, or spices turn them delicious. Something else I've discovered: if you keep them as leftovers, or make big batches of something soupy/saucy/spicy/curried, they get more and more richly flavored. My current favorite is to cook them in a Thai curry with lots of stir-fry veggies, coconut milk, and roasted mushrooms. The same portion of curry, minus soy curls, is way less nutritious, and fills me up much less. My protein intake is pretty nearly ideal since I started chucking these into everything. Last bit of praise: since they rehydrate to 2/2.5 times, they turned out to be life-savers in terms of pantry space in this time of lockdown and scarcity. Highly recommend, whatever your dietary preferences.

We could enjoy these every day!!!
OMG< I love these so much! My husband and I are both vegans and we use these to make a vegan version of a BLT. You have to try them, they are AMAZING! Just follow the directions for presoaking them and then drain them really well. Add your favorite sauce/seasonings and they will soak up the flavor. Then we fry until gently crisp. Add a little agave or maple syrup near the end of cooking and they will be perfect.
