Excellent water reservoir, read reviews saying about leaks. I’ve waited to post this review to give a good honest account of it. Been out on around 5 long treks using it. Flat walks. Hill walks and mountains. Absolutely faultless and bone dry bag at the end of the day. I’ve had the smaller version in the past. Lost it when moving and bought this one. It’s a bit expensive but if you’re going to use it it’s definitely worth it. Some people have said about it going “mouldy” just from water being used. I’ve not had this problem and had it for around 4 months now. Spotless. Easy to open and fill up. Opens up nice and wide to fill or empty. Definitely recommend.

As you would expect from Osprey this is a great product. Yes, you can by an equivalent for 1/3 the price, but it’s the little things that make the difference. The opening makes refilling super simple and is 100% watertight in my experience. The best bit is the release valves. You can disconnect and reconnect the bladder so easily with virtually zero spill and the drink tube is totally disturbed. The magnetic clip for the mouthpiece is also genius. I did a two day ultra with this and it was the best bit of kit I had with me. When you need the simple stuff to work flawlessly with no stress, this was spot on.

I bought this Osprey 2l for a long-distance, 12 hour walk and the 2l capacity was ideal. It fitted into my existing rucksack and the drink hose was an ideal length to route over the shoulder and onto the supplied magnet clip. There was a useful 'open here' tab to indicate which plastic layers were intended to separate for filling, which was then easy. Unfortunately, there was no indication on the product, or on the packaging as to which way the top folded over to close and I got the blue clip half way on, before realising that I'd folded it the wrong way. This was enough to put a small tear at the top of the hydration bladder, which then leaked when refilled above the 1l level. Otherwise, all good- I didn't think the plastic taste was too bad, as others have mentioned. The mouthpiece and tap worked well with no leakage, as did the in-line connector of the tube to the bladder. So, only 4 stars, but better labelling or a picture on the packaging would have made it 5 stars for me.

I have now been using this for around 1 year while hiking in Scotland and abroad with no issues. It’s thick and well made and is showing zero signs of leaking like other ones I have had. Usual plastic taste to start but after a few uses it’s fine. Fits well in my pack and the magnet design for the straw is really handy!

Have been using Osprey reservoirs for ages, and this one is a really good additional and updated version. The new "handle" fixture does make holding it while filling a lot easier than the old scoop handle did. The inner baffles now added ( similar to the old LT versions ) also mean it keeps its shape a lot better and lowers the profile quite a lot, meaning that the compatibility with various backpacks increases. I have seen comments about off tastes when using and would say that the first use did have a slight off note, but a soak in water for a day or so then good clean got rid of that without problem and it hasn't been noticed since. The tube is a little shorter than the older ones, so that might have to be considered if you are mixing and matching with older mouthpiece tubes ( which do all fit, as the main attachments are all the same ). Nice little update to already good reservoirs.

I trust Osprey to make the best rucksacks on the market. But EVERY Osprey water bladder I have purchased from them has developed a pinhole leak. Adventure is rough, it's unpredictable. Osprey water bladders are just too soft in my opinion. I won't be buying another water bladder from Osprey which is a shame. The plastic used just can't stand up to the unpredictable which when in the great outdoors is a deal breaker

Easy to set up, no strange taste.... Has been great during training hikes and was perfect on our everest base camp trek... Good bit of kit 👍
