Happily surprised
When I saw the price, I thought this would be a tiktok shop item, but itโs actually really good. The packaging is a tad overkill, but it comes out of the box super sharp, and I even accidentally dropped it nose first while unpacking it, and the blade didnโt take an ounce of damage.

At just 190g of pressure on the sharpness tester it really is razor sharp out of the box!
I'll spare you the time of reading a review that simply recites the specs included in the description, and cut straight to the chase. This is a very nice knife that is worthy of your attention especially if you enjoy japanese knife styling. It has a very good feel in the hand with noticeable heftiness. All that, yet the blade near the cutting edge is thin, making this great for thin slices of tomato, cucumber, etc. If you watch the attached video, you'll see right out of the box it clocks in at 190 grams of pressure on the sharpness scale - on par with a utility razor blade. For high carbon knives like this, I always use KPL Knife shield, which helps prevent rusting. Of course, never let it sit after using. Always rinse and wipe dry. I really like this knife and I think you will too. Be careful, blades this sharp will remove digits with almost no effort. If you're new to the world of really sharp knives, you're in for a real treat.

Sharp and nice weight - prone to oxidation?
Overall I like the feel and look of this knife. It is very sharp and cuts well. I like how it feels in my hand and the overall weight. My only complaint is that when I washed it the first time and I went to put it away, I noticed a small amount of oxidation on the top of the knife. It was kind of surprising given the cost and advertised quality of this knife. In subsequent washings I have dried it immediately to avoid this, but it does concern me about the longevity of this knife and the quality of steel manufacturing used.

Substantial and SHARP!!!
This knife feels substantial, yet it is well balanced. Out of the box it is CRAZY sharp. A general-purpose knife may come sharpened to 25 degrees; a prep knife may come sharpened to 20 degrees, which will slice through the edge of newspaper quite cleanly. This knife is sharpened at 12 to 15 degrees, which is appropriate for certain kitchen tasks. At 12 to 15 degrees, it is easy to dull the knife by inappropriate use, which explains why the product description has a lengthy list of do's and don'ts. As such, it is not a general prep knife, especially given its heft. But when you need a knife for fine slices of meat, this will be your go-to knife. Different knives have different uses, and this one excels when used for this purpose. The attractive finishes of the blade and handle look very good. This is not a full-shank handle design, so I am relying on my perception of the overall quality of the knife to indicate that care was taken in the manufacturing of the knife to provide robust durability and long product life.
