This is a wonderful book. EVERY teacher should have it. This is the one book I would recommend for every teacher. The author helps you set up every part of your classroom. Some of it may seem like obvious information, but anyone who has lead a classroom of 30 kids can attest to the fact that sometimes your brain can be jello after working with kids for so long. It is nice to have classroom management to rest on so that you can focus on the other aspects of the job. I would also recommend the first 30 days book.

Honestly, this is is the book that I've been searching for. It's the best and covers a number of things that I wouldn't have even thought of needing for a classroom management plan. With this book in hand, I'm feeling much more confident about starting my first year of teaching. My mother, a teacher of 25 years, said that wishes the book had been around when she started teaching. There is some info that is more specific to elementary school, but I really believe that it could be used for any grade. Great info, easy read.

I got this book for an Education class. It is well written, well illustrated, concise and provides appropriate examples. I would recommend it for teachers and teacher students looking for tips on managing a classroom to get the most productivity out of their students.

This was exactly what I needed. It is much cheaper than ordering from the school bookstore and came on time in great condition. For any education major this is a great book, order it to help manage your future classroom!

As a teacher going into my second year I am very grateful for this book. I loved reading "The First Days of School" as it gave me a multitude of ideas and inspired me to be as prepared as I could for my first year. This new book has also been an essential piece to my summer planning. It clearly outlines how to set up your own management plan and gives excellent, specific ideas for the procedures that are necessary for a smoothly run classroom. This would have been great to read in my first year, but I still find so much worth in this book as a second year teacher. I highly recommend it.

This book has amazing ideas and things you should be doing. Absolutely love the way it has you think of every single thing you need to think out and I’ve gotten so many compliments this year on my classroom management because of this book. If you’re thinking of a grad gift, THIS IS THE ONE.

Very practical guidance- very good step by step guidance

Using this book in our school to help merging process with "new to teaching profession" teachers. Book is proving to be very useful and effective. New teachers indicate they find the book easy to read, practical, and very helpful. Best strategy we have found is book club that meets once a month to review a chapter. Book club is lead by an experienced teacher who can act as mentor and help answer additional questions. Will certainly continue to use this book as we move forward.

This is what every teacher in the world should buy. It's all about practical ways to teach procedures to students, rehearse and reinforce those procedures during the first few days of school so that they become routine for the rest of the school year and teachers can then focus more on teaching and students can learn in a positive stress-free environment! I would pay 10 times its price in a heartbeat as it has brought so many positive things in my life at school! So what you are waiting for...just buy it now!
