My Australian Shepherd, has a beautiful but incredibly thick double coat that is highly prone to tangles and mats, especially after spending time outside. I picked up this Nature's Specialties Quicker Slicker Detangling Spray to help make our grooming routine a little less of a battle, and it has been a total game-changer. Here is how it performs in a real grooming session: Detangling Power: The formula provides a fantastic amount of slip. Instead of tugging and pulling at stubborn mats with a brush, a few spritzes of this allow the slicker brush to glide right through the hair. It saves a lot of time and makes the process much more comfortable for her. Conditioning Effect: It doubles as a great leave-in conditioner. After she is fully brushed out, her coat feels incredibly soft and looks shiny without feeling weighed down or greasy. The Scent: It leaves behind a very clean, pleasant fragrance that helps deodorize her coat between actual baths. The Drawback: Because this is a high-slip detangler, you have to be very careful about overspray. If you spray this while your dog is standing on a hardwood or tile floor, whatever misses the dog will settle on the floor and make it dangerously slippery. I highly recommend using it outside or on a dedicated grooming mat. Verdict: If you have a dog with a medium to long coat that is prone to matting, this spray is a must-have tool. I use this on my Pom daily. His fur is static free, soft and no impacted fur or matt's and moisturized. Smells pleasant too. Will always have this product in my grooming kit.

I have 4 little long haired dogs which require a lot of grooming to keep them nice. This product helps enormously with tangles and knots. It also makes their hair nice and shiny. I also have a rag doll cat with long hair. When the seasons change she loses a lot of hair and it gets lots of mats that have to be combed out. Just spray the mat and wait a few minutes and it becomes much easier to work it out. Love this product!
