It has a nice balance and weight, but I only gave it 4 stars because I can't get the cartridges to pierce so I can use them. I tried and my husband tried, and we just couldn't get it. It does however work very well with bottled ink, so I'm not returning it. Edited to add: I've been using this pen for a couple of months now, and it's amazing. It writes so smooth, it just glides across all kinds of paper. I have upgraded the review to 5 stars because of that, and because I really like using my own ink in it, so not being able to get the supplied cartridges in it, no longer matters. I also like the fact that I can pick this pen up after not using it for a few days, and it's good to go, not trying to jump start a dry nib. So for the price, try this pen. I don't think you will regret it.

This is an absolute steal. Great everyday fountain pen that comes with two effective bold ink colors. A pen this inexpensive has no right to write this well. It looks nice and performs! Great for writing in cards for friends or even penning a letter to someone special. Also includes the contraption you need to use other inks that don't come in the cartridges. It worked as intended as well. Care for it as you would any other fountain pen and it may be the only one you need. Love this pen.

The quality of this fountain pen far exceeds that of some of my higher end pens. The presentation is elegant and beautifully minimal. Most of my fountain pens came in huge boxes that take up a lot of space. This particular fountain pen not only arrived in a nice and simple box, but the lid has a lovely magnetic closure. With regards to the pen itself, I'm thoroughly impressed! I ordered this pen because I got tired of losing my pricier pens. This pen certainly offers a lot for the price. I was also drawn to the color combination of this pen. Orange and grey is beautiful together, and rather elegant. I'm loving this dark matte gunmetal grey, but the orange is a but more subdued and "rusty" than what I see online. This is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I may have to just get used to it. Although I prefer to ink my own pens, I used one of the included cartridges to try this pen out upon arrival. It wrote immediately without any kind of coaxing, nib grinding, or tine adjustment. I'm seriously impressed. I have a decent collection of higher end fountain pens, and 95% of them needed an initial feed flush before use. This $9-$10 pen knows how to please!!! It's a bit too good to be true. The slightly magnetic cap has a very satisfying click when opening and closing, and it fits so comfortably in my hand. The weight is perfect, and it seems balanced capped and uncapped. It comes with 6 blue and 6 black ink cartridges, which is far more generous than most manufacturers and sellers. The quality of the ink is really nice and rich. This pen also comes with a very decent converter, should you fancy using your own ink! I would love to find an ink that matches the orange on this pen. It would definitely elevate the writing experience. This is a very giftable pen. I hate losing my fountain pens, so I thought losing this would sting a bit less. I was wrong. I would hate to lose this little $10 baby!! I highly recommend this pen.

The most amazing & smooth writing easy to use, perfect ink flow fountain pen. It fits easy in your hand around your fingers. It’s comfortable & easy to use when you need to use it quickly. I love how it feels in your hand.

So I am in love with fountain pens and have used nothing but for years, Inexpensive pens are a must for travel etc as super high quality pens can get lost and misplaced. This pen looked good for the price, but something about the design, makes no ink flow through the nib. I am not sure if their ink is just too thick or if the pen is too tight, but I have tried for hours, and this nib just never lets the ink flow properly. Hopefully the black ink will be better but the blue and this nib barely function and is completely useless as a pen.

This pen I purchased as a last minute gift to go with another item. It writes okay, the pen seems to skip and shoes t write as well as other brands the ink cartridge are a little hard to insert and takes a few minutes to dry completly. The ink doesn’t bleed through the pages. This is an economical pen for every day writing.

Great pen for journaling, I use it every day.
