Review: Purchased for camping & beach use.. - This umbrella is very well made.The fabric is thick and well tailored.However, I will still treat it with spray waterproofing ..The pole is aluminum and seem sturdy..The plastic on it such as the push thing to raise umbrella and the locking thingy to lock it in place is sturdy plastic..I like the umbrella..I gave it a 3 rating because..The height of the umbrella is not adjustable and the reason one would want to adjust it is because if you've ever been at the beach when it is windy or when a rain rolls in, what most folks do is lower the height of the umbrella to prevent it from blowing over or up and away and if its raining, you lower the height so you and your stuff gets less wet.. Saved my plants!
These were perfect for my use. With such severe heat in S Louisiana this summer I needed shade for my suffering plants. This umbrella is the perfect size for an older woman to handle. I was able to easily put them up and down and remove when necessary. Looks great and good quality. These have been up since the begging of July getting intense sun every day. If necessary I can use again next year, if not someone in my family will enjoy them on the beach.
