The plastics seem to be of better quality than on my previous dryer, which I had used for over 20 years. Time will tell.The sturdiness of the frame is questionable as the frame was distorted in transit. So although it is light it feels bendy in comparison with my previous dryer. That said, it meant it was relatively easy to correct the distortion. It is a good dryer with plenty of variations to accommodate a wide variety of garments. The wheels do not run very freely but that could also be down to delivery.
