Aged wheat cancels out the red under tone
I used aged wheat. It has a green undertone that is complimentary on the color wheel to red which means it will cancel out the red/orange tint. The before pic is in the dinning room. I have not put poly on it yet. This is only sanded to bare wood than the stain applied in a mix of 50/50 with mineral spirits to make it lighter.

Best to correct orange
Pics show before and after… Used this to neutralize the orange in solid oak end tables… removed top coat and sanded. Applied two coats and then whitewashed with satin top coat. Worked perfect! This product looks very green but that’s why it canceled the orange in the red oak. Highly recommend!

Perfect for use on red oak to reduce red color
This Aged Wheat color has a greenish tint, which was perfect for making red oak look less red and more like stained white oak.

color does not match
This product is nothing like the display on the tin. It does not match the color ‘aged whea’ but instead had a grayish/green look . The boards are for making a closet but now the closet won’t match the bed head ( photo in the second slide is a store bought bed head ) which was the purpose of me purchasing 5 tins of this stain so that I can have a matching closet. I wasted my money and cannot get through to a customer service rep or anyone at that for a refund or replacement . Atleast if I had a replacement I could try to sand the stained wood off and apply a different or darker stain to match. I’m very disappointed and annoyed
