I can't speak to whether the plastic attachments are chew-proof, but based on how they are designed, I do think it would be challenging for them to be chewed. We looked at significantly more expensive options for this more modern style type of pet pen, and when we came across this, we decided to try this first to get an idea of if these would even work for our puppy. I'm glad we tried this one. We actually really liked it; however, our new pup is good at jumping straight up and down and, at times, was achieving heights equivalent to the height of the pen, so we became concerned about her safety, and that's why we ended up returning ours. **Q: How thick are the acrylic panes?** A: 3/16 of an inch **Q: Can the gate/door panel be opened completely so that human can enter without having to jump over the panel?** A: Yes the door opens wide enough for your pet to run in or out. **Q: Can puppies tilt this over?
