Innovation and quality.
A small but important feature is the grounds basket that sits on top of the percolator stem only has holes on the top to let the water in and holes in the bottom to let the coffee out. Most percolators also have holes around the sides of the percolator basket but this one does not so a small filter can be used to minimize the grounds in the finished coffee. It takes longer for the coffee to brew but it’s worth it.

From Prized Possession to Sad Update
Update: As of November 27th I've now had two of these coffee pots. The first one broke and even though I ordered used they sent me a new one. Well I wish it was riding off in the sunset from there, that's hardly the case. Not only did the second one chip. I now noticed rust. I was excited because it was advertised as stainless steel. I figured I'd polish off the chipped area and continue using it. I didn't think the inside would begin to rust. This is a violation again advertising and the law prohibits this sort of thing. I know I'm too late to get a refund of my original purchase. So.... I'm kinda stuck. Do I report this to BBB or contact the company again? It's overpriced for starters especially if they're making these kinds of shortcuts. So yeah BBB will most likely be hearing from me after the holidays. Update: This company stands by their products. I currently cently have one chipping on the lid and inside. After reporting it to Amazon with no resolution offered. Coletti is gonna make it right. They have a lifetime customer here now. I love their products. Can't buy coffee that tastes as good anywhere. I look forward to a lifelong relationship with this company. God bless... Hope this helps someone out there. Update: Scratch what I said about the disk shape filters. The medical grade disk filters are working great. Here's how to properly use them. 1.) Do not use more than 8tsps. 2.) Do not use more than two 16.9 fl oz of water. I personally use to average food Lion like bottles of water. 3.) If you are eyeballing it. Fill to the first hole on the spout visible from the inside. 4.) Heat high to boil then simmer medium heat to percolate. 5.) Enjoy your cowboy style coffee. The taste is insanely good. I never imagined a pot changing the flavor so much. Ppl giving bad reviews on here simply do not know how to use this product. Yes the basket is a little small and could use more holes. None the less if you use it the way I'm about to explain. I assure you,, you'll have no issues. 1.) use regular filters. 2.) Do not fill all the way. 3.) I recommend two bottles of store bought bottles of water. The medical grade filters do work, letting in a small amount of grinds. So ultimately it's up to the user. For me cheap $2 dollar pk of filters do the trick and are easier to find. I personally use six to seven tbsp of coffee, but to each their own. Use the amount you like. I hope this helps someone out there. Oh and yes you'll have to fashion the filter to fit in the basket. Just push filter over pipe and into basket. The process will be obvious once attempted. Enjoy and God bless 🙏❤️ This is my new daily coffee pot. I love this thing, and you will too.

Pretty red pot
Very nice looking coffee percolator. And cooks in good time and is easy to clean. Coffee tastes great. Great value for money. I highly recommend buying yourself or send as gift. My man said he hadn’t tasted a cup of coffee made like that in percolator in a very long time. I’m impressed.

Good pot, just bad hinge on the lid
I like it all except the metal that attaches the lid to the pot. When it opens, that little metal piece is flimsy and I'm sure will break after a few more openings. Not a deal breaker, but they could've made that stronger or hinged instead of a bendable piece of thin aluminum.

Great choice
Perfect for nights around the fire and a freshly brewed cup of coffee. We’ve had it for a couple years. Very durable and works great.

Quality control and customer service issues.
I already have a Coletti 9 cup Bozeman perk pot and like it. The lid hinge is kind of flimsy, but overall the pot is OK. Just wanted a larger capacity pot so I ordered the 18 cup Coletti Classic. When I unboxed it, I found that the lid would not close all the way. It stayed open about an inch. The top of the basket is too big and the rim of the lid hits it. I checked and everything was assembled appropriately, there was no damage, so it was a manufacturing error(made in China). I called the number provided for customer support and listened to a recording of a women's voice telling me that she was away from her desk, but checked her voice mail frequently and would return my call promptly. She never called back. I'm returning the pot to Amazon ASAP. And also, as with the Bozeman 9 cup pot, the lid hinge was really flimsy. Poor quality control issues and terrible customer service. Military veterans supposedly run the company. Are they veterans of China's People's Liberation Army?

Love it! And great customer service from Coletti.
Hubby & I *really Really REALLY LIKE* this coffee percolator!! Percolated coffee just tastes better. I appreciate very much that it's stainless steel, and that the percolator bubble is *glass*, and there is no plastic. The percolator-pot works great with our glass-top stove, as well. And, I gotta give big kudos to their customer service. The first perc-pot I received was pretty beaten up, and I'm pretty sure it had been one that had been a "warranty-return" that had gotten mixed up with new shipments. I reached out to Coletti customer service, and they had a new one on its way to me that same day. Thank you.

Yup
I am remarkably impressed. I’ve always had a cowboy coffee pot but not like this. This is not flimsy every bit of it from the unboxing to its first brew was surprisingly and satisfyingly wonderful. Especially like how everything just clicks together. I know this might sound contrite but believe me when you take the spring handle in your hand, you will feel happy

Best camping coffee maker. Filters fit well no coffee grounds in the coffee.

I've wanted one of these stove top percolators for ages. The enamelled ware is of good quality, although the lid seems fragile and loose, it's perfect for the job it does. I've never had any issues with the lid. At first I thought the glass top wouldn't fit properly, but it has and is very secure. I use it on a gas hob but it will work equally well on an electric plate or even outdoors on a griddle over an open fire. It is stylish and compliments the rest of the black appliances in my kitchen. Compared to plug in, electric ones, it very reasonably priced. I get four good normal sized cups of coffee with each brew. I like the versatility of the design, where it can be used at home and also on camping trips.

When you put the coffee “container” inside of the percolator and try to shut the lid..it doesn’t close. Whoever measured the circumference and diameter of this coffee component container should be fired, as per the 1st and 2nd photo. 3rd photo: that thin, flexible piece of metal holding the lid on should last 3-4 times before it breaks off. Can’t clean that portion properly either so I can only imagine the mold that would grow. Terrible design, the lid doesn’t close and the bendy straw piece of metal holding the lid on is just ridiculous. For $100 I expect the lid to at least close and for the device to actually function. Do not waste your money. Returning this item ASAP for a full refund
