Survived torrential downpours its first trip!
Well dang, this is a much nicer tent than I was expecting for the price! The reviews did not lie. What I liked: - Super well waterproofed. Huge rainstorms every day, and we had no problems. There was even a small amount of standing water under my side of the tent one day (felt like a thin water bed, lol) and nothing got in. -Fit well around the opening of our SUV, no issues with bugs or water getting in. -Decent amount of space— we fit a queen air mattress + had room for an XL dog bed for our 90lb & very long pup. We both could stand up comfortably in the middle + under the SUV hatch (5’9” and 6’1”). -Colors are pleasant. Unobtrusive in nature but colorful enough to have personality. This shade of green matches the Subaru Autumn Green very nicely (more olive-toned than the listing photos) -Impressively good quality for the price. I’ll be curious to see how it holds up over time, but none of the materials feel cheap, and the quality control seems good. -Sidewall hanging pockets were convenient -Tent seems to be holding up so far to my dog camping with us. Smaller dogs may find the threshold at the tent door a little high. Things I like a little less: -If you aren’t using the car feature, the amount of standing room area is a little small for tall people -I really wish there were doors on more than one side of the tent. We keep ending up with campsites where (in order to park our car with the tent) we HAVE to set it up with the door facing the very edge of our campsite, with the rest of the space on the opposite side. It’s not the end of the world, but matters when you can’t just rotate the tent because of the car. -Definitely awkward to set up with just one person. My spouse (military engineer— definitely can put up a tent, lol) prefers to do tent setup alone but even he had to admit this tent is a two-person job. He managed to do it but mentioned it took much longer to setup alone than other tents he’s done by himself. Disclosure: I was compensated for my review my the manufacturer, but in no way advised on what to say, how to rate the product, etc., these are my honest opinions. Will update review if I have further feedback after more extended use!

A good tent that's my "living room" when I camp.
This is the best tent for the price, and I've recommended it to a lot of people in my camping groups. It's very roomy, and I fount it easy to set up alone even though I'm short. The only change I made was that I use caribiners instead of the clips for the poles. The clips were very difficult to get on and off. The floor is thin so I put a canvas painter's tarp on it to make sure it lasts longer, and it comfortable to stand on. I also figured out a way to rig it over a back passenger door instead of the hatch-back. Although it left a gap at the wheel well, which I worked around by stuffing with a big plastic tarp so animals couldn't get in at night. Zippers seem like good quality, and the rain fly worked well.

A Very Solid Choice for SUV Tents
For the price, this is a hard option to Beat. The only reason i'm not giving it five stars is because the durability is slightly lacking. Overall, the design is really well-thought-out and it is easy to set up even if you are only one person. I have not had any issues with the zippers, and it fit perfectly on the back of my suv and my friend's pickup truck. The thing I like most about it is how roomy and spacious it is. I also love the fact that you can use it as a tent on its own. The best part about this tent is that it comes in a bag that is big enough to fit the tent after you take it down. No more hassling to try to fit a large tent into a small bag!

Spacious and Easy-to-Set-Up SUV Tent
We recently took our new SUV-attached tent on a family camping trip, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. One of the standout features is how spacious it is—there was plenty of room to stand up comfortably inside the tent, which made moving around and getting dressed a breeze. The design also accommodates a travel crib for our baby, which we easily set up inside the tent. There was still plenty of room for us to sleep comfortably on an air mattress in the back of the SUV. The integration between the tent and SUV made it feel like we were all in one connected space, which added to our peace of mind. Setting up the tent was surprisingly easy. The instructions were clear, and the tent attaches securely to the SUV with minimal fuss. We had everything up and ready in no time, which was a relief after a long drive. The build quality feels solid, and the tent stayed secure even in windy conditions. Overall, this tent made our camping experience much more enjoyable and stress-free. It’s perfect for families looking for a bit more space and comfort on the road. Highly recommended!

Mostly good with some quality issues
We setup this tent both standalone and arched to the car. It is a large tent and an average person can easily stand up inside. Ventilation is also quite good. But there are some quality/design issues. Our first night camping in this tent, we set it to standalone away from the car. It was windy, so we used the guy lines to tie it down. Then, the rains picked up. The tent kept up mostly dry, although some water did come through the sides. But the floor kept the soggy ground from coming through. The next day, we noticed the fabric that attaches the poles to the tent was torn in some spots. Enter quality issues. The poles only attach through fabric sleeves, which are not reinforced. I imagine anyone who catches persistent wind in this tent will not have a long-lived tent. I figure we may get a couple more uses out of this tent before it no longer stays attached to the poles, which is kind of disappointing.

Spacious and Sturdy
This is a very nice SUV tent. I love the fact that you can detach from the tent if you need to run somewhere. I was able to set this tent up alone, though as most tents it's easier with 2 people but doable with just one, Instructions need some work though, pretty vague but it only has 3 poles! So it's kind of self explanatory. It didn't rain for us so I can't rate the waterproofness just yet, but I did notice the floor of the tent has a nice seal pretty far up and has a higher waterproof rating that most SUV tents on Amazon. The height is fantastic too! Windows are huge and fabric seems very durable! It's got solid privacy even without the rainfly. Recommend this tent!

Good in Rain
Puchased 8/21/23 on Amazon after much research on SUV tents. This was a new item on Amazon and it didn’t have many revues yet, and I was skeptical it would fit our 2023 Ford Expedition, and after hesitating for more than a week the tent went on sale for $30 off so I pulled the plug and ordered. The tent came pretty quick, very tight packed in storage bag and I was afraid we would never get it back in the bag again, we did. So first thing we needed to confirm is that it would fit our truck. We decided to set up in our back yard first to practice and confirm it fit, and it does but no room to spare when strapping to the back end. First time unpacking, reading instructions, setting up tent, attaching to truck took about hour. Strapping the tent is an experiment and figured you need to have the tailgate half way down, then slide the tent onto the backend of the truck, after attaching straps you lift the tailgate and it will not go all the way up with this truck, you will need to watch your head when climbing in and out. The tent seems good quality, good size for my wife, me and the dog, good windows, ventilation, and standing room. Sliding the polls through the pockets is not easy, it helps to have 2 people putting this up. We spent a couple nights sleeping in our back yard and were not bugged by mosquitoes finding their way in. The only complaint was sleeping on hard floor of the truck without good padding. First time camping trip to Madeline Island, WI on 6/18/24 would really test this tent in nasty weather. We knew the weather was warning for possible heavy storms that night, but decided to set up tent anyway, had black plastic down on dirt and outdoor carpet in tent, The site grade had the truck roof tilting down to the tent which worried me water would run off into the tent. It started to rain about 7pm and down poured all night, got up middle night to use the potty expecting inches of water in tent but only slight dampness on floor, was amazed next morning there was not a foot of water in tent, only a little damp! It rained so hard that many roads on the island were washed out. I have to say I think the truck has a channel directing water down under the truck when tailgate is open. The rain fly worked as expected, the camp site was a muddy mess, but we stayed dry for the most part, we then disconnected the tent and went to town. We stayed one more night and just folded the tent in a tarp as the bottom was still muddy, getting home we dried and cleaned the tent and packed away. Good tent for the money

So Disappointed
I absolutely hate this product. Allow me to explain. I go camping solo. Recently, (finished yesterday), I built out my vehicle to accommodate car camping. I ordered this ahead of time so that I'd be ready. I wanted to be able to leave my hatch open as well as have a place to keep my bike out of the elements when I camp. I set this up yesterday. Well, I attempted to set it up. The poles kept coming apart when trying to push them through. The tent kept flipping over/collapsing every time I tried to get one side in the foot stake thing. I had a hard time figuring out all the buckles, even after watching the video several times. I never did get it right. When taking it down, the poles kept coming apart when trying to get them out. It took me over 1.5hrs to setup (wrong) within not even connected to the car correctly. You could walk through the gaps, which I did. Thank goodness for Thermacell! It took 45 minutes to break down. I didn't even bother to put it back in the bag. As a solo camper, I need something that can be done alone. I'm on the search for a pop up car tent. If anyone knows of a good one, let me know because this tent is a "no" for me...and it's outside of the return window...uuuggghhhh!!!
