We purchased this tv for a guest room, looking for a 32 inch model with built-in Amazon Fire functionality, 1080p resolution, a decent remote, and a reasonable price. This one seemed to check all the boxes. The tv arrived in one day, well-packaged and in perfect condition. Set-up was very simple. The picture quality is fantastic, with bright colors and excellent contrast. The sound quality is good, much better than we were expecting from a small tv, definitely good enough for the room we put it in. In fact, we don’t plan to add a sound bar at all. It was simple to install the apps we use on our main tv. We are totally satisfied with our purchase…it met or exceeded all of our needs and the price was great.

Just bought Roku TV and returned it, this TCL was worth the extra 20 bucks. Way better picture and sound. More options for settings. I can screen mirror with my iPhone.. and my PlayStation games look amazing

The Fire TV functionality is fantastic, and is super easy to set up (it comes pre-provisioned if you have an Amazon account). Most of the apps we actually use. Has two HDMI ports making it easy to connect laptops, phones, etc. AirPlay works perfectly out of the box. Picture and sound quality are what you’d expect for the price, and is not the main reason we bought this tv. It’s very lightweight and easy to move and mount. We were looking for a quick and easy screen to AirPlay to, watch Netflix, and connect laptops to for fitness programs and what not. For the price it’s a solid unit. I remember when similar devices sold at Costco for 10x the price not too long ago. Can’t go wrong with this one. Oh and I agree with others, the remote actually makes sense and is easy to use

TV is good, the operating system they use is horribly slow though. Expect 30 minutes of updates when you take it out of the box and connect it to the internet. It feels really light, mounted well on the wall with a small mount. LED underneath is more of a status indicator, it doesn't stay on all the time (the clear/whitish thing under the TCL logo). Would be nice if the refresh rate was higher but it suits the purpose I got it for. If you play video games, I wouldn't use this as a primary monitor for that. Remote survived a chomp from a large dog, same dog chewed on a Chromecast remote and broke it. I wouldn't compare it normally but he bit it in similar spots (on the power button). It's nice you can use the FireTV app for this TV to control from your phone as well, can ignore the real remote if you want. Audio is pretty "tinny" and voices can be hard to understand, typical TV, easy enough to do what I did, get a Bluetooth speaker, connect the AUX cable to the TV and to your speaker, plug speaker into TV USB for power only. Or you can use wired speakers too, some places sell Bluetooth transmitters for 3.5mm plugs as well. You can tweak the audio settings to make it audible without extra speakers. Display is clear, didn't notice any dead/stuck pixels. Plenty of screen adjustment for me, unfortunately no HDR but it's an inexpensive TV. Color is good, nothing to write home about, won't exactly blow your socks off. An okay amount of applications, finding new ones and customizing the layout of the menus is a bit tedious but typically a one-time kind of thing. Can access games, I haven't tried to play anything on it.

This is our new fire tv, our old one in the basement get soooo many free channels through the antenna. This newer model DOESN'T, it gets 0 ZERO channels , so we bought an extra digital antenna. Now we can get 29 channels, unsure why this tv won't get the hundreds of channels our other fire tv gets even when we installed an antenna. VERY DISAPPOINTING in that aspect. The good news is for a small bedroom the picture and sound quality are good especially the frame rate for animated/ anime shows. I don't even need a sound bar and my hearing isnt very good. UPDATE Used the tv about 10 times the sound randomly dosent work, so I have to unplug the tv and restart it. Also it constantly boots me out of netflix. I am watching a show and it exists back to Netflix catalog. I dont have this problem with the basement fire tv. Not sure why this tv is so awful I should get good reception in a major city Philly area. UPDATE Definitely returning, THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST TV I HAVE EVER OWNED. If you are watching a show and leave to do a short task like bathroom break,short phone call , or make food, THE TV SHUTS ITSELF OFF. Yup, you have to turn it all back on go into app to get your show EVERY TIME. There is no setting to circumvent this terrible feature. I have read there is a way to hack a TV but why isnt there just an option in the menu to turn off this feature no one wants. UPDATE bought the same tv only with GOOGLE TV installed in it. Way easier to set up and start watching. Also has a hundreds of free local channels. Really anything you can think of , from cowboy, to history, news, music, nature, religion, horror, kids, animation, cultural, weight lifting, racing.... LOTS
