This book was filled with reminders and new points that help me to submit to and operate in God Ordained Authority. I love how it explains everyone’s responsibilities and gives us practical knowledge on how to live in the Kingdom of God. Excellent Read!!!

I love this book

A.W. Tozer once said (see A.W. Tozer Classics) that Christians have come to treat Jesus Christ as a king in a limited constitutional monarchy - He has almost no authority at all among the groups that call themselves by His name. Tozer was specific-he wasn't talking about Christian cults or liberals. He was talking about Protestants, and included particularly evangelicals. If ever there was a book that would bring us back under the Headship of the One who has been given all authority in heaven and on earth, it is this one. Tozer said we treat Christ like a flag, a beloved rallying point. We praise Him, but "in every crisis someone else makes the decision." If you have a heart to know Christ as the Head over all things to the church, and are genuinely wanting to submit yourself to Him as your Lord and Savior, this book is for you. I cannot express in words the appreciation I have for the help it has rendered me.

This is an excellent book for those seeking an understanding of how God organizes His kingdom and establishes spiritual authority. The syntax may be a bit challenging because Watchman Nee was writing over fifty years ago, but his wisdom and insight remain fresh.

i will be updating this soon, however, as i am in the process of reading, it has caused me to deeply think of the Scriptures at hand and see how in the beginning, God had His authority in place. there was clarity and a revelation to see Scripture differently than how i’ve had before (i.e: as the example of adam and even in the garden of eden). nee reveals the principle of satan—which resulted in the fall of man and also explains detrimental effects on those who rebel against the authority of God. so far this book has placed a desire to understand His authority, to experience His authority, to obey and respect His authority, as well as become aware—such as paul—to know those of which God has delegated authority to. very good read and def recommend for others who are seeking for more understanding of how God sets things in place.
