I bought this to help me replace my wiper arms on my vehicle. Plus just to have a small one around it will come handy when needed on other projects.

Tool is well made and able to remove stubborn BMW wiper arms that were on for 10 years! The only weak spot in the design is the cross pin you torque down to apply pressure. They should redesign with a hex nut instead so you can attach a ratchet, a socket or wrench. First I sprayed penetrating oil and let it sit a few minutes to soak into the splines. Next I had tightened it down to where it was about to bend the cross pin, but stopped for a minute to get a vice grip pliar for better grip. Just then the wiper arm popped off from the pressure. In the end, nothing got bent or broken and I was happy. Just take your time with the tool and she'll work.

Windshield wiper arms were stuck after years of not being touched. Decided to not damage the wiper mechanism with any kind of hammering or off-axis force, and instead ordered this proper-looking tool. The tool is somewhat flimsy but high quality enough considering the price. It was relatively easy to get aligned straight and for proper arm width. Unfortunately, the small handle cannot be turned with enough force to remove the wiper arms by hand -- being able to use a nut would be a great improvement. However, it turned out that using some penetrant spray and leaving the tool tightened (under tension) for a couple of minutes popped the wiper arms off without having to apply more force. Overall, a great investment and got the job done. The tool itself survived without bending or being damaged. Maybe a good idea to place a towel on the windshield to prevent damage, in case the tool decides to jump, and some tape on the "hooks" to prevent marring the wiper arms.

I usually hate single purpose items and the reviews made me nervous but I'm so glad I got this. My husband snapped the wiper arm off while trying to help me change the wiper blade so I had to learn how to change the whole thing out. I saw some people do this with a wrench, but that didn't work for me. I got this and changed the whole assembly in less than 5 minutes. I did spray wd-40 on it the day prior when trying to use the wrench because I didn't want to buy special spray. My car is 9 years old, so the piece I removed had been on there for that long. The directions weren't super helpful, so in case it helps, you twist the silver piece to make the grabby part wide enough to go under the piece of the arm still attached. Then use the silver piece to tighten it when it's under the arm. Line up the middle with the top of the bolt and spin the long piece to push it down. It's pushing down on the center to raise up the arm connector. I can't see why anyone would need to use a ton of force, you're not pulling anything. It saved me time and money to fix it myself and putting the wiper blade on was easier when the arm was detached, so maybe I'll even use it again.

When leaving reviews, I tend to start with all stars and work backwards if I encounter issues. Vendors and manufacturers work hard, and I like to give them benefit of the doubt. But, this Battery Terminal/Wiper Arm Puller might be better suited for the former, not the latter. Admittedly, I had a very stubborn, driver's side wiper that had been mounted for over 10 years. The problem was what others have noted, which is that the relatively thin rod at the top cannot easily be grasped with any significant torque when twisting. I needed to use pliers. But even then, the metal tabs at the bottom of the tool, which grasp the item to be lifted, just started to bend upwards. I had read the reviews and was somewhat prepared for this, so I had used penetrating oil the previous day, plus some light hammer shocks to the wiper bolt, along with some rocking of the wiper. Frankly, I gave up...twice. Faced with the prospect of returning the puller and not having got the job done, I tried one last time, virtually bottoming the thread out and maxing the tool's range. You could see it was flexed. I actually went inside to get eye protection, because the force on the wiper arm was significant and I did not want the tool or wiper arm flying off in my face. Despite all of this, the wiper arm still did not remove until I did some more aggressive rocking of the arm back and forth, and suddenly a loud pop/bang as it removed. You could hear the sound echo off of nearby buildings. In the end, the tool worked. However, I'd be reluctant to remove a wiper arm this way again. There is some danger of personal injury to your face and hands if you are too close to the wiper arm and tool when it pops off. Another reviewer welded a 1/4" socket to the threaded bolt, which is how this tool should have been made. That, and the bottom metal tabs should not flex they way they do. Perhaps some of you will not have so stubborn a wiper to remove. Perhaps using a heat gun/cooling spray would help loosen the joint. However, without using the penetrating oil, and without going three tries with increasing amounts of force on the tool, I'm not sure this would have worked. I live in a sunny climate without road spray or any degree of road contaminants like salt. Inspection of the wiper arm after removal showed the expected light film of minerals, but it was generally very clean.

Works great. Struggled for 2 weeks trying different tricks to get the rear wiper of the wife's 2017 Rogue. Checked local auto store and the guy said the one they had would nit worked he tried. So looked at the reviews so it worked on some modules specifically the rear wiper. Git and the wiper popped right off surprised me. Highly recommend.

Purchased to remove the rear wiper arm on my 2017 Nissan Murano. It worked great. After I changed the wiper blade I found that I didn’t have to remove the whole arm to replace the blade😦 It can also be used to pull of the battery cable clamps. It’s excellent quality tool.

I had a battery with stuck on cables that was hard to access. This little toy just eased the cables off with light finger force. I haven't tried it on a windshield wiper blade, but if the battery is anything to go by: it'll be a piece of cake, without risking damaging the windshield wiper itself, the blade, the paint or even the windshield. I am very pleased.

Recently my rear windshield arm got broken because of auto wash. I bought the same brand's arm+wiper but the broken part on the car was stuck. I bought this spesific item to remove the nuts etc. It removed the plastic first, and then I had to do some hard pressure for removing the nut. It worked, fortunately didnt break anything important. The brand is cheap(not for this spesific product) but its really reliable when you compare with others. The ends were bent on using 1 time, I hope I wont need to use it again but if I need to use it, probably it`ll be hard to use because its already bent(my wiper arm was really stuck maybe it was because of it)
