As pens, they would not be my first choice to write with. It is a little awkward in the hand. It does come in three different colors. The Driver is Red Ink. The Putter is Blue. The Iron, Black. However, I don't think that the pen function would necessarily be why you buy this set.This is more of a novelty for your favorite golfer. Something they can sit down with for a few minutes during downtime and do a little desktop putting. For that, it is fun. I personally haven't become very good at it yet, but I am trying.The keychain is nice too. They are good quality, and the pen tip is under the grip.
