ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! THIS WILL BE THE BEST LIGHT YOU WILL EVER OWN!!! IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY!!!
I just ordered a second light. I just can't believe how white the light is even compared to a halogen bulb, plus the brightness and the throw are phenomenal!!! This light works better and is much brighter then I ever expected!!! I don’t normally do any reviews but this time it’s very deserving. This light is made in America. I own more then 15 maglites. I always have to have the latest and greatest, newest, brightest, coolest, you name it and I have to have it. I also have several other brand tactical lights including Streamlight Stinger and Ultra Stinger line. This new flagship Maglighte with their new LED cooling heatsink design, light outperforms, blows away, the Streamlight Ultra Stinger, which has been the preferred brand and model for many years, of many police officers. I’m very versed in flashlights, the many different types of rechargeable batteries, power disapation, battery discharge flatness, and discharge patterns overall of the many various battery types. That being said, WOW WHAT A LIGHT!!! This light just blew me away. The new LiFePO4 lithium battery type, which is basically a 3 “C” battery pack, is the latest, greatest, and safest style lithium battery offered on the market in electronics today, especially for high current draw devices. It has a very high capacity, very flat discharge rate, very flat discharge curve, so as to allow the light to maintain all of its full (1082 Lumens) over 80% of the full power time, which is 3 hours and 15 minutes, before starting to slightly dim. Most other lights, especially those with Ni-Cad, or Ni-Mh, have a straight downward linear discharge curve rather then flat, horizontal output across over 80% of it’s discharge cycle time. Most other lights slowley start dimming from the moment they’re turned on. As far as brightnes and distance or light throw, it will blow you away!!! It lights up over a quarter mile, actually 1,502 feet or just over 5 football fields away and it's an extremely bright white, very well defined beam of light!!! The distance allows you to actually spot a beer can on the shoulder of the road 1/4 mile away. With just a 1/4 turn of the head, you can adjust from spot to flood. It’s built very solid, is also water resistant with rubber o-ring seals, has a programmable, sealed, water tight, rubber switch with 5 different options with easy instructions for programming the 3 out of 5 button options you prefer. A completely dead battery charges full in 2 1/2 hours. The instructions say to condition the battery properly, being that it's shipped uncharged for safety. However, just charge it for at least 6 hours prior to first use and after your initial charge. Then, from that point, a completely dead battery just takes 2 1/2 hours to become fully charged. This light is made to stay in it’s charging cradle 24/7 to trickle charge and maintain it as needed, without any fear of overcharging the battery what so ever, which is very safe and LIFETIME WARRANTY on top of it!!! This is Maglites new flagship flashlight. Maglite definately hit a homerun with this latest designed light with award winning heat sink LED cooling technology. Their brightest light ever made which is based based on their new prorietary heat sink design, (patient pending), and having the longest distance light beam throw ever, 458 meters, which equals 501 yards, or 5 football fields. In Eco mode, 24 Lumens, it will run for 79 hours. In Low mode, 138 Lumens, it will run for 18 hours and that's still fairly bright. On high power, (1082) Lumens, it will last 3 hours and 15 minutes. It will also create eye damage if pointed directly in the eyes of an attacker and will stop or incapacitate any further advance, due to the blinding brightness, especially in strobe mode. All testing was based on the new and latest International ANSI standards for the testing of flashlights and Lumens output. The numbers are true and correct, honest output light values . You can program the switch to momentary on, which law enforcement uses a lot, or strobe light to signal help or disable an attacker with a blinding, flashing light. Just pick the order of presses on the button and it stays set. You can change it at any time. You can pich any 3 of 5 setting choices. You will love it, you will be blown away!!! This light has won award after award including endorsement from law enforcement!!! I believe this new light will take back the number ine spot as the preferred law enforcement light, including the many new models that will follow. With the many new, history making, step forward in technology having this new proprietary, innovative LED cooling design which allows for such a high output without all the heat which usually destroys LED's and shortens the life of power supplies, or other board components. "THIS LIGHT WILL TRULY BLOW YOU AWAY"!!! Exceptional reviews from Law Enforcement!!! “National Tactical Officers Association” Gives Top Review of MAGLITE ML150LR Flashlight Field Testing MAGLITE’s ML-150LR is Praised for its Brightness, Beam-Throw, Toughness, On-Time Between Charges and more. (Ontario, California, May 06, 2018) Mag Instrument, Inc. (MAG) is pleased to announce that the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) has given a top review to the MAGLITE® ML150LR flashlight. Multiple officers who field-tested the ML150LR praised it for a variety of critical features including brightness, beam throw, toughness, on-time between charges and more. The ML150LR™ is also Mag’s first mid-size flashlight to use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) rechargeable battery chemistry, which allows for faster recharging (about 2.5 hours from “dead” to “full”). The ML150LR was designed with first responders in mind. It is a mid-sized, rechargeable flashlight that comes with a cradle intended to ride alongside officers in their patrol vehicle. The ML150LR packs over 1,000 lumens and lasts up to 79 hours without being charged in ECO mode. Some of the praise heaped upon the MAGLITE ML150LR by the NTOA field team includes: “This light was bright and had major throw. To say I was impressed was an understatement. The light has a powerful beam that throws light an easy several hundred yards away, while also having a nice amount of spill as well. This light performed greatly, is built like a tank, and worked very reliably.” “I did a bit of research on the new Maglite ML150LR, and due to technological advances in heat sink technology, this flashlight is purported to be the longest lasting, brightest law enforcement flashlight out there. Based upon my admittedly less scientific field testing, they are correct in their assertions and claims.” “The ML150LR-1019 LED rechargeable flashlight by Maglite was everything you would expect from Maglite. I like the charging dock that is included for this rechargeable flashlight. It allows the light to be easily removed and docked onto the charger without fear that it will fall out.” “The performance of the light is exceptional, very bright, multi-function, multi-programmable option is a bonus to me, allowing the end user to tailor the light to their needs. Changing the modes and functions was very easy and only takes a few seconds. After charging the battery as instructed for the initial charge, I placed the light on each of the four modes and checked each of the functions, all performed as advertised. This light was dropped, kicked and tossed, while in the high-power mode, with no loss of illumination. Therefore, receiving a 5 rating in performance, ease of use, quality and durability.” “MAGLITE has always had a powerful connection with law enforcement and we made the ML150LR with the needs of officers in mind,” said Tony Maglica, founder, owner and president of MAG INSTRUMENT. “We are very pleased to receive such fine reviews of our product from one of the leading tactical law enforcement organizations in the world.”

ML150 LR Test and Review
Maglite: ML150LR Right off the bat, this is a Maglite, it is metal, light weight, feels good in my hand, and solid enough to last forever. Everything I expect and love about Maglite. Still, this is my first rechargeable and I am highly skeptical, so now to the testing: The light has three modes, high, low, eco. High: Extreme light for seeing things 200 yards away. Low: Perfect for most things and seeing about a hundred feet. Lights up the path very well. Eco: Fair for lighting the path right in front if you know the area you’re in and not expecting surprises. Good for seeing across the tent. Makes a good night light. Day 1: 8 a.m., after charging all night I removed the flashlight from the charger, turned the light on high, and left it. Sometime during the day the light went to low automatically. Still, at low there is plenty of light. At 8 p.m. the light was still going strong and I could turn it back to high. I set it back down on high. At 9:16 p.m., the light went out. Approximately 13 hours of good usable light. Advertised: 18 hours on low. I used high mixed in so 13 hours is about right. Day 2: 8 a.m., after charging all night I removed the flashlight from the charger, turned the light on high, and left it. I checked it every hour and returned it to high as it continues to go to low when on for a long time. At 12 noon, the light still worked and would still go on high. At 1 p.m., the light was still on (low) but would not go on high. Approximately 4 hours of use mostly on high. They don’t advertise this so 4 hours seems good as it was mostly on high and low is normally plenty of light. Day 3: 5:30 a.m., turned on high and ensured it stayed on high. This is a bright light. I took it walking early so I could get an idea of the distance. We have high voltage power towers running across our property stationed about 150 yards apart. The light showed me the one I was standing next to, lit up the one 150 yards away, but not the one 300 yards away. However, to be fair, I live in the San Francisco Bay area and the smoke from all the wild fires defuses the light quickly. This Maglite, on the darkest night, would light up a football stadium and you could count the people in the stands on the far side. Keeping the light on high, 7 a.m. and it is still going strong. Note, when using on high, the head of the light above the two charging rings gets very hot; however, the handle only gets a little warm (good separation). 7.14 a.m. the light goes to low and will not stay on high. Approximately 1.5 hours of use on high. They advertise 3.15 hours. Not so good. It seems to me that, if I keep the light on low and switch to high only when needed, the light will last all day. Bright on low, extreme on high. Much better than I expected from any rechargeable. Still, this is a new light right out of the box. I will revisit this review if anything happens in the next five years.

Made right and made here.
The light is plenty bright and clean. The switch works the way a multifunction switch should work. On /off, but if you want to lower the brightness, you double or triple click. Most flashlights are backwards about this. I prefer a larger light like this when checking outside areas. Excellent product and very glad its made in the USA !!

At night, I now can see the Future :)
Amazing light. Everything thought out on this packaged light from the weight to the extreme beam. You’ll be amazed. The mount with lock just makes it that more perfect. The Low setting is brighter than the 2 D cell Xenon mag light. Really can’t say enough and why I bought two. Yes I sound like I work for the company but once you run this at night you’ll be posting the same things. Easy , Simple & BRIGHT. Never will need batteries for my flashlights again. Price here is far better than anywhere else and they’re legit mag light. This Blows stream light and others double the price away. Best present you can get for any guy hands down. You’ll love it …. Update : 3-28-26 Still running strong with no issues. Picked up 3 others for family members and they all use this light. It has a designated area on the wall and everyone in the house knows where to go. Ready to go 24/7. Thank you as I haven’t had a problem now reaching for a flashlight for years now. No dead battery’s or not knowing where I placed it. Always ready to go.

charger stopped working after 2 months!! Maglite made ME Pay to send it to them!!!
I thought this would be the best option. rechargeable Maglite! never have to worry about the batteries being dead. So, when I get the light (ordered through Amazon) it worked beautifully! Super bright, adjustable brightness and coverage..then just pop it back on the charger when not in use. Never having to worry if I need to replace batteries. I received it in October, then at the end of January( only 3 months later) I was just going to order another one for my husbands work shop, and ...I went to use it and it was dead? what? realized the charging port was not working, no indicator light nothing. after checking and rechecking connections and trying multiple outlets, realized the charger was not working at all. the light was still under warranty, so tried to contact seller through Amazon, but no option. only the option to contact Amazon for product support. they in turn told me they had to put my in contact with the seller! so that took 4 days! and different representatives at Amazon telling me totally different things! Finally I am put in touch with Maglite. they have be run some simple tests and then verify, YES the charging Port is not working. THEN they tell me that I HAVE TO PAY to ship it back to them in California for them to work on it? so not only did I spend almost $100 on the flashlight, but now I had to pay shipping to get it repaired and I have no flashlight. You would think they would just send out a new charging port! unreal. Maglite used to have such high quality and such great customer support. but now I guess they just make junk and then don't stick by their products!

Supernova Brightness with a mediocre expensive battery
This is a review of the Maglite ML150LR LED Rechargeable Flashlight. This review is after living with the Flashlight for just over 13 months. In summary I love this flashlight as my favorite and go-to for most needs but am disappointed in the battery life and quality especially when considering the price. The pros of this product is it feels very heavy-duty while also being reasonably light weight for its size weight for its size compared to other 3 C battery Maglights. This was noted on several even trips down the beach hunting for seashells. The brightness is incredible especially at night. Its definitely the brightest handheld Flashlight I've ever see, certainly as other reviewers have shown the brightness is top notch! There is no question you're carrying a really high-end Flashlight. I personally don't use the Eco-modes as if I'm using a Flashlight I want all or nothing. I'm sure they greatly extend the battery life but I've never been in a situation where sparing battery life mattered to me. Additionally the exterior casing and lamp are unmistakable MagLite premium quality. The rechargeable system is easy to use and the multiple connections (AC/DC and Car charger) and cradle with quick release thumb button are all great and very well designed. I can definitely get about 3 hours of use on a full charge with a big caveat as I'll note below. The cons of this product are the battery, the battery life, and the heat. Firstly, if you struggled to find the battery make and model of the rechargeable battery like I did, it is the "MagLite Li-ion ML150LR-A2155 Battery" at many good resellers or "ML150LR Replacement Battery Pack" (on MagLite's website) or the "Intec ILIF-3006526 ESR1EE8402 6.4 volt 3.0AH 19.2Wh." This is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) which MagLite says is safer for longer-term use. Careful buying a replacement as of this review date there seems to be a lot of sites including Amazon linking to the wrong battery type. And MagLite's customer service was of no help at all. Be sure you match it exactly to either of those model numbers. And with the replacement battery running thirty-seven dollars as of this review including shipping its a major portion of the total cost of ownership. After 13 months of use I found rust accumulating at the top of my battery. It was enough that the battery is no longer taking a charge well. Fortunately no damage to my flashlight but I certainly didn't expect to have to buy a replacement battery after just over a year. I'm sure MagLite can't predict real world use of their battery but I've never had my Flashlight wet and generally its been used in doors except for a one-week trip to Myrtle Beach. Whether that is enough for the battery to begin to fail I'll only know as I replace the battery and see. Secondly, the battery life off the cradle is unexpected. While running the Flashlight on full I can easily get way over 2 hours of incredible brightness which is fantastic but closer to that 3rd hour it seems to auto-trip down into an economy mode cutting the light output by about half and quickly trickles to drained in that hour. I personally have never been in a situation where I wanted a half-brightness in the eco-mode but I'm sure it would help extend the battery life. Since I can get about 3 hours on high that's what MagLite advertises so that's great. But what I am disappointed with is the LiFePO4 battery seems to lose its charge quickly within about 4 days of not being in use or charging on the cradle for me. Its annoying but I've learned to keep it on the charger but I wished MagLite had come up with a better design that wouldn't deplete an unused battery so quickly like this. Thirdly, the flashlight gets hot while on full brightness. I mean seriously and unexpectedly hot. Its enough one wouldn't want to hold the Flashlight near the LED end for longer durations. I've never tested the actual temperature but it doesn't take 10 minutes for me to move my hand further down. MagLite advertises it has a patented LED Heat-Sink that no doubt heat is a known issue with this technology. I wished MagLite had more information about operating temperatures. Once turned off it does cool down pretty quickly. And while in eco-mode there is very little heat. But if you're like me I'm rarely in a situation where I don't want full brightness. So that heat always concerns me. So far other than replacing the really expensive LiFePO4 battery at well over a third of the flashlight's purchase price after only 13 months and being tethered to the cradle its been a pretty good experience. I'm sure I could have saved money with a more traditional MagLite especially considering the battery life. But if supernova brightness is what you're after, and you don't mind storing it in the cradle constantly or the heat build-up on extended use then you'll also be pleased with this purchase. I do wish MagLite would address the very expensive replacement battery cost, the off Cradle battery discharge and the heat build-up.

Great System
I like flashlights with narrower beams (like this) and easy recharge is nice. I've had enough alkaline batteries spoil Maglites that I have pretty much given up on them. I think LEDs with their long run times have made swell/leak problems more of an issue, but that's not what this review is about. First, I'd say, consider mounting charge station on a wall or similar. So easy to pop light into station. Secure holder. Pros: • Bright light! I wind up using mine on lowest setting most of the time, and I live in a rural area. • Easily recharged. At least as easy as the magnetic base Olight uses. Plus a secure storage system. • Large enough to be used as a club, if needed. • Quality system, that will likely be around for years. Mag does not match the innovation rate of the newer marketers, but that is a good thing in that you can buy replacements and accessories for years to come. • I know where I left my flashlight! If you use your light for odd jobs, it is good to have the bit of forced discipline of a consistent storage location. •Light is usable on high for a long time. Many of the compact lights are super bright, but must throttle back to avoid overheating. •Batteries are replaceable, unlike many of the newer Surefire rechargeables (which are quite good also). • Designed and made in USA Cons: • For me, that it comes on brightest level first is a bit of an issue, since I usually only use the lowest level. I understand this is something I can change, but I just haven't wanted to mess with it. Brightest first is an advantage at times. • Cost. You can still buy the older "brother" of this light which uses NiMH rechargeables for a bit less. You get a bigger diameter and heavier light that is not quite as bright, but either is quite "wow" bright. • Not so good if you prefer wide beam or "floody" lights. For instance, I have a couple of lights that utilize selectable LEDs so that you get a nice, smooth flood or a nice fairly tight spot. But I almost always use the spot, many prefer flood.

Best rechargeable flashlight I’ve owned
There are brighter and lighter but none as tough and long lasting as a MagLight. This will stay ready and if you get a spare battery will outlast you. Very sleek and quite honestly a perfect flashlight. Tough charger and the maglight itself is exactly what we’ve come to love about a maglight. I’ve changed tires , crawled through attics , launched duck boats, tracked animals and actually have bought these as gifts to loved ones. It’s a Mag Light only better.

Brightest flashlight ever!
Excellent product and pretty fast shipping. Charged it for the recommended full six hours and tried it out after dark. It literally lit up my whole backyard and you have to be careful not to shine it in your eyes. I did accidentally for about 1 second and I saw spots for five minutes! Throw away all your other flashlights and get this one!

Top quality product
I used this at work, I needed a torch at home I could trust. So I ordered this torch. No fiddling about with batteries any more on charge when I need it and ordered spare bulb for the future. Yes, it’s expensive but well worth the cost. Use a shaver adapter to convert plug to uk use. All set up now and very pleased.
