A: Confusingly, a "point" has more than one meaning. In typography a point is 1/72 of an inch, but in this context it means the same as a "mil" = 1/1000 of an inch. Hence 100 points = 1/10 of an inch, and 80 points is 0.08 inch, which is slightly less than 1/12 of an inch. In metric terms 80 points is 2 millimeters. (Here's the math: 1 inch is by definition exactly 25.4 millimeters and 0.08 x 25.4= 2.032 mm.)

**Q: Can this be used with the Cricut maker?**
A: According to the thickness of our cardboard, the size with 22PT can use the cutting machine. In general, thin cardboard can be cut with a cutting machine.

**Q: Are these good t make journal cover and punch holes in for the spring?**
A: They'll make a thick one-- they're nice and solid but you'll need a pretty hefty punch for it, so if your punch can't handle a good chunk of paper at a time maybe choose a lighter weight?
