Amazing! Fits my Samsung washer WF45K6500AW/A2. And without thd stupid people-proof ratcheting. I wish I had known about this year's ago! I can screw it in and unscrew it easily with one hand. And no leaking. Attached is a photo of the original ratcheting one and thd new one. Perfect fit!

I was so pleased to find this. My original had the child safety lock on it and it was a mess every time I tried to clean it and lock it back in place. I had to clean up SO MUCH water every time. I put this one in and it easily clicked in place with NO LEAKING!!!

My only regret is not getting this sooner. After struggling for years dealing with the OEM “childproof” one I finally decided to replace it with this. Super easy to install, no leaks, no fighting with the stupid ratchet that takes forever to fully tighten. If you have a Samsung washer get this yesterday!

I pulled the original child proof filter out to clean it after a message on the display to clean filter. This was the first time that I had removed the filter.And when I put it back in , there was a leak stream pouring out about the size of a pencil. I tried three or four different times pulling it out and reinstalling , and every time the same leak. Visual inspection of the original filter showed no reason for the leak. I looked around town for several hours.But could not find anything , and then I thought of amazon , and ordered this part. I was Shocked and very pleased to see there were zero leaks , when I screwed this in. Samsung needs to get their act together on this. But this part is a lifesaver

Purchased this replacement filter as the original one was not in great shape (machine was a Craigslist buy). Unfortunately the filter I received had a defective o-ring, it was not perfectly round, it looked kind of like a pancake edge on one side. The old filter's o-ring was still good so I just carefully pulled it off the old filter and put it on this new filter, as I unfortunately missed the return/exchange window by the time I got around to fixing this. Anyway, the old o-ring worked fine and no leaks. The filter fit is a bit finicky though - this is for the person who asked how to install it without leaking. You have to line up the arrows EXACTLY (the housing arrow is really hard to see, I colored mine with a sharpie, see 1st picture). Once the arrows are lined up perfectly, screw in the filter 1 or 2 full turns (I don't recall which), until you cannot see the housing arrow, and the filter handle is straight up (2nd picture). Then, mine needed a gentle twist just a tiny bit more to the right and I heard and felt a slight "click", presumably the o-ring seating into the housing for a good seal). In my opinion this item is offered at a fantastic price (the OEM filter was around $30 or $40 from the places I looked), and high quality. Would have given a 5 star rating except for the bum o-ring issue I had. I'm sure Amazon would have made it right had I not missed the exchange window but since my old o-ring worked it's no big deal. But I have to say, check the o-ring and if it's not EXACTLY like the OEM one you are replacing, consider the extra money on the OEM replacement, or just re-use the old o-ring like I did, otherwise you could end up with leaks.
