I had used a Lotus Green Genie for my small garden pond filtration over the past 12 years. Always a messy job to flush the foam filters and a very fiddly, time consuming job to change the UV lamp annually. I then found this amazingly easy to set up/clean/replace lamp, Blagdon system by chance, having then researched YouTube for testimonials, which appeared all positive. Received my new filtration system...extremely quickly I might add, (thank you Amazon Prime), it took very little time to set up and get working. For months now, my tired pond has suffered from green algae, cloudy water and unable to see the bottom of my pond for the gunge. With this new Blagdon filtration tank, my pond is now crystal clear, free of any impurities and the fish seem much happier. The clearout of pond debris took just 4 days from really dirty to super clean and clear. Without doubt, this is the best pond filter you will ever buy, I only wish I'd discovered it years ago.

Due to not replacing the UV in time for the warm weather at the start of the feeding season i have struggled with three months of pea soup water - not being able to see more than 4 inches into the water and 2 x 1700 gallon water changes so I decided to try this filter from Blagdon.Sceptical as always as i have tried many before it.I installed the filter system, comparatively easy although there was a small leak at the inlet pipe until i borrowed a small spanner to turn the hose clip screw tighter than a screw driver could manage.For 5 days i cleaned the new filters daily to ensure that the water was getting cleaned properly. I added Pond Start to the pond and the filter - leaving the UV off for 24 hours in order for it to establish.The video is the result of 5 days of cleaning the sponges, the top and front filter daily. I didn't touch the base filters as i wanted the pond start to work properly.The result as you can see is that i can now see the bottom of the pond which around 4 ft deep and the water is crystal clear apart from a few bits of floating algae which i skim off regularly.I can recommend this filter - if used in the right environment.Mine is a raised pond so i had to build a plinth the height of the pond to stand the filter on as it is not a pressure filter.The 24 watt UV bulb appears to making a lot of difference from my old 11 watt one.Fingers crossed that all is now ok for the rest of the summer.

I purchase this filter after I had originally had this filter before it died a death on me after about seven years I then purchased what I thought was going to be a easy filter to clean, but it turned out to be not so so I have come back to this Filter as you can clean the filters in less than 10 minutes and that and the blagdon pump. It means I can clean both of them when I need together in under 30 minutes which is what you want, and the water is crystal clear again, unlike with the other filter , so I highly recommend this product above all others .

Best pond filter I’ve ever bought easy to set up easy to clean price is a bit steep but it does a great job

Ive had a fish pond for over 20yrs . In that time ive tried all kinds ov diffrent filters but av to say THIS IS THE BEST YET.Although mv ponds av been kept reasonbly clear this Blagdon product surpasses them all my pond is 10ft x 8ft x 2ft deep an i can see the bottom as clear as day .i can see my ghost koi carp in all there glory considering my liner is black this filter is amazing .Was easy to set up nsounds well when the water is running back into the pond i use two of the four outlets . i keep goldfish japenese koi green tench ghost koi golden koi nblue orfe all ov whitch seem happier with there clear chrystal clear water . Its great value for money greatly recommemd . thanks Blagdon
