Put this on top of my cubicle wall for privacy and to diffuse noise since I am seated along a busy hall at work. It has improved my concentration

CUBICLE COMPROMISE: SOUND BARRIER BASICS 🔊🚧🤔 [⭐⭐⭐☠️☠️]
Jay Fray bringing the balanced truth about these Yaomiao desk dividers that deliver mixed results for your workspace privacy. 🧐 Purchased this 4-pack to create some separation in our open office nightmare, expecting modest sound dampening benefits. The aesthetics aren't terrible—the neutral gray fabric brings a clean, professional look that blends with most office décor rather than screaming "I HATE MY COWORKERS." Assembly was straightforward, with no tools required beyond the included clips. 🛠️✅ The physical quality is adequate for the price point. The panels maintain their shape without sagging, and the fabric covering appears durable enough for office use. The thickness is reasonable—not flimsy like poster board but not substantial enough to feel premium. The height works well for seated privacy without creating complete isolation. 📏👍 Where these fall notably short is in their primary function—sound dampening. While they do reduce visual distractions significantly, the acoustic benefits are modest at best. They'll slightly muffle normal conversation but do virtually nothing against louder talkers or conference calls. Think of them more as psychological barriers than actual sound blockers. 🔊👎 The included mounting system is another weak point. The clips work reasonably well on thinner desk edges but struggle with thicker surfaces. After a few weeks of use, some clips have already developed stress cracks that suggest limited longevity. 🧰😐 Jay Fray verdict: Decent visual dividers with minimal acoustic benefits. They create a sense of personal space that has some psychological value in open offices, but don't expect meaningful noise reduction. Worth considering if your primary goal is defining workspace boundaries with a clean aesthetic, but those seeking genuine sound isolation should invest in more substantial solutions. Sometimes adequate is just adequate. 🏢🤷♂️

flimsy, but look decent. Some parts didn't work
nice for sound deadening, but they are very flimsy and not the best material. We hung ours on the wall vertically and needed to modify a few things. The screws that came with for the brackets were very long and bottomed out so it wouldn't hold them up. But it looks great overall.

Unstable brackets.
Terrible brackets. Don't even hold up the divider securely. Returned these immediately.

The hardware didn't fit the product
In addition, the hardware was shrink-wrapped tight against the panels, so one was damaged. There are no instructions, and it did not come with an allen wrench. When I finally found a wrench that fit from my collection, I discovered that the bolts would not screw in far enough no matter what--they were either too long or threaded. Who knows what the screws were for, I could find no purpose for them.

Damaged
Arrived damaged so we didn’t use them. Also the brackets that enable it to stand up did not grip the divider so it was constantly falling over.
