Strong security made simple with a fingertip
This smart padlock really takes away the usual hassle of keys and combinations. The fingerprint reader is impressively quick — just a light touch and it unlocks almost instantly. I’ve used it on my backyard gate and shed, and it feels so much easier not having to fumble for a key every time. The app makes setup straightforward, and I like being able to see unlock history or manage fingerprints right from my phone. What stands out is how solid and secure the lock feels. The body is heavy-duty, made from strong alloy steel and zinc, and the shackle is reinforced against cutting. Even the backup keyhole is designed to resist picking, which gives me more peace of mind. It doesn’t feel like a gadget pretending to be a lock — it feels like a real lock with smart features built in. The weatherproofing has also been impressive. It’s been through a couple of heavy rains already, and the fingerprint sensor still works just as fast. The little cover over the reader is a thoughtful touch, especially if you’re using it outdoors where dust or snow might get in the way. It feels like it’s built to handle being outside year-round. Battery life is another plus. A single charge lasts months and it only takes a short time to recharge with a USB-C cable. Knowing it can handle thousands of unlocks before needing a charge means I don’t have to worry about it dying on me unexpectedly. For anyone wanting a lock that combines serious toughness with everyday convenience, this one hits the mark.

Secure, Smart, and Convenient Locking Solution
The security and convenience this lock provides have truly impressed me. The fingerprint recognition system is fast and accurate, unlocking instantly without needing keys or codes. I really appreciate the key backup option, which adds peace of mind in case the battery runs low. Its heavy-duty, weatherproof design makes it perfect for outdoor use, whether for gates, lockers, or storage sheds. The Bluetooth connection works smoothly, allowing easy access management directly from a smartphone—especially useful when sharing access with others. The battery life is excellent and recharges quickly via USB. The overall design feels modern, sturdy, and high-quality, offering great reliability. Overall, a smart, durable, and highly secure lock, ideal for keeping belongings protected anywhere.

Super frustrating documentation. Pretty neat lock though when you are done swearing at it.
The functionality of this lock is pretty darn good, but I'm removing a star because the documentation is very difficult to understand and really needs to be rewritten, organized better, and expanded upon significantly. I'm going to offer up what I've learned when I hit walls, so that others aren't as frustrated if they have the same issues with the fingerprint reader. 1. The fingerprint recorder is the OPPOSITE of Apple's. You need to record 5 identical images of your fingerprint, so don't move your finger around much. When you are done, start over with your finger in a slightly different position and repeat that 5 times. In order to have my print read well, I've stored several different touch positions of each finger. The lock can store 100 fingerprints, you're probably going to want 10 just for you. 2. I work in healthcare and use hand sanitizer and wash my hands all day. This makes my fingerprint almost impossible to record and equally impossible to read. My partner stored one image of his little finger and the locks open for him on the first try. So that and the high number of positive reviews made me think that I didn't have a bum lock, that the problem was my own fingerprints. I read a suggestion elsewhere on the internet that if your hands were dry, you should swipe your finger down your nose to pick up some facial oil and it would make your fingerprints easier to read. THIS WORKED. I used to have to try almost 10 times to get a print recorded. Using this technique, my prints record in one or two tries (but not my darn thumb yet). Likewise, I can now open the locks with one or two tries, whereas before, I am not exaggerating, it would take no less than 20. Fortunately, I wear an apple watch almost all the time, so I was using my watch to open the locks until I came across this advice. So if you are going into Yosemite Sam mode trying to get your finger prints recorded, see note 1 and if you think you might have dry finger tips from needing to wash all day, drag your fingers in your t-zone to pick up some oil. 3. The watch and phone app work great to open this lock. No stumbling there at all. 4. I had a hard time finding any documentation as to the lower limits of temperature this lock could maintain functionality, and eventually found it on the amazon listing on one of the graphics. It's -4 degrees Fahrenheit. It gets colder than that where I live, so I would just make sure you keep a key handy. Likewise, I'm not sure 122 degrees as the upper temp threshold isn't easily reached in the summer if this dark colored lock is in direct afternoon sun. So bear that in mind. That being said, I feel like it's a fairly impressive temperature range. I will however, be keeping an eye on this device, as lithium batteries can pose a fire risk when damaged and this lock is going to be on wooden fence that meets with wooden structures. All in all, I hated how frustrating it was to set this up with poor instructions and I'm not the worst in the world at figuring out new tech. If my partner hadn't been able to get his fingerprint to record and function as a key as easily as he did, I was have assumed that this was a lousy, overpriced lock and returned it and said as much in a review. I think this actually is a pretty neat lock, but the company would be doing themselves a great favor to rewrite their documentation so that it is more understandable. Otherwise, some of us hot heads are going to lose our cool and return it because we can't figure it out. And that would be a shame, because once one DOES figure it out, it works impressively well!

Funny audio but the lock and app work!
Interesting device. The packaging is nice (surviving a completely crushed and mangled box as delivered by Amazon). Took a few seconds to figure out the instructions and the app interface. The app sounds like the audio was voiced by someone who never heard english before, saying record (as in player) instead of record (as in an event). But it works quite well! Opens much faster than a key lock and should save lots of time opening and closing the 3D printer lab without having to find the right key or make copies as new people are given access in the future. I expect we will be getting a few more installed around the ship.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND * one star *
My first suggestion would be for the developer to get a professional writer that speaks proper English and rewrite the instructions clearly. Right now the instructions are total garbage and incomprehensible. The fingerprints, key and App unlock functions works well. HOWEVER my biggest issue is that after you unlock the lock with the App, you have to touch the lock in order to connect it again to Bluetooth. That means you cannot unlock the lock remotely again unless you touch the sensor first to connect the lock back to the Bluetooth. This makes the lock useless to use the remote functionality the next time as you have to touch the lock each time to “wake it up” to connect it again to Bluetooth so you can unlock it remotely again. In other words you have to physically touch the lock to reconnect it to the app and Bluetooth each time you use it remotely else you can’t use the remote function again until you touch it so it can reconnect to the Bluetooth. This makes no sense to me to be able to use the lock remotely the next time. Why is this called remote if you have to touch the lock to connect it? Why would you need to unlock it remotely if you have to touch it. I tried the FAST CONNECT button as well but I still need to get close to the lock for it to work. I now see that the lock needs a Bluetooth device close by to work as opposed to using WIFI which would make it work no matter what. (If you read the product descriptions it’s actually listed in the description that this is how it works. Mr. Seller/Developer please respond if I am wrong or explain how I could use the App remotely a second time if I’m not close by to touch the lock). I also thought I could remotely lock it but that’s not possible. Oh well not a big deal because the App shows the status of the lock as open or closed. Thats fine! So the lock did not serve my purpose. I wanted a lock that I could unlock at a distance but unfortunately this is not it. However, I can see how this would work for others, its just not for me. I am returning this lock and I CAN’T RECOMMEND buying this.

Setting this up was super easy and works great
This is a very neat padlock and is easy to access with the finger print scanner. The process of setting up the device was simple. It involves installing a simple app to set up the biometrics. I believe it allows for 100 fingerprints. I entered several digits because we needed something to secure an emergency kit that I recently put together after being hit by a hurricane and losing power for a long time. We had everything scattered and disorganized. This lock was exactly what I needed to quickly get to the kit without everyone in my home raiding the supplies. The backup keys are nice to have and the lock seems fully trustworthy, It works on Bluetooth and not wifi. Furthermore, the lock location and history can be found on the app. The idea of using fingerprint recognition was a little intimidating until I started to see how it can enhance my life and make things easier.

The Best smart padlock
Excellent smart padlock. I used it on my patio door. It's easy to use, and what I like most is that I can open it with my fingerprint and with the app. I don't need to carry keys with me to open it. I recommend it.
