Its maps and directions are comprehensive yet easy to follow. The spiral bound guide stays open to the pages you are reading while you are driving or riding. Also includes attractions, tips, other sources, and games. Convenient 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", 218 page, paperback format. Review: The ultimate resource for traveling Roite 66 - This is absolutely the best resource for traveling Rt 66. Was able to use this to make sure my downloaded maps were accurate and didn't skip anything. Lucky I did because there were a couple places where it missed a turn and made it up later. I was able to adjust my maps to make sure I stayed on track. Following along while on the road was easy. When GPS had "next turn" showing i could easily be sure it was correct. The smaller maps on each page is great if you miss a turn, you can easily figure out your route back to where you missed your turn. Also, there are points of interest so you can see whats coming up and plan accordingly on the road. Was able to use this for my solo trip from end to end of Route 66. This should be the very first resource you pick up if planning to drive any part of Rt 66. Can't recommend this enough, wish I could give it 10 stars. Review: Not the end all but darn good book. - I like this book it gives good directions and has them for going both ways. WB is west bound and EB is east bound those two abbreviations took me a hot minute to figure them out 😉🤦🏼. It will tell you when to avoid a certain road because it is a toll road and gives some recommendations to eat and stay. I using it along with co-pilot on the computer to figure out our travel and places to stay.

Will carry it on my trip
I bought three guides in the process of planning a motorcycle ride across country to include rt 66. One is in color and has QR codes on each city to go to a website to get more detail... But an Internet connection is needed to take full advantage of that guide. I didnt want to be without information while on the trip if i cannot get service so i bought this book. It is not in color but it is thorough. It is also convenient that it is spiral bound so i can leave ut open to the last location as i head to the next. While this book is small enough to put in my tank bag, i will keep it in my panniers vecause the paper is soft and would easily soak up water when i get caught in a rain storm. I haven't started the trip yet so right now the guide has only been for planning... Meaning i have not read each page in detail for driving instructions. After i get on the trip and need directions i will have a better idea of the quality of the driving instructions. It does say that rt 66 is not continuous since it was decommissioned and only maintained for nostalgic purposes. So the driving instructions may be important. I shall see.

Good guide for in the car when traveling
Like this guide. The spiral binding and heavier paper weight make it a better travel aid. Addresses some of the problems of the earlier edition. Good turn by turn instructions, landmarks on the corner, etc

The only guide you’ll need
We just returned from a drive of the St Louis - Tulsa section of Route 66 and I can say this is a fabulous guide. The directions and maps were flawless. We enjoyed many of the giant alerts, photo ops and optional side trips. We mainly used the westbound directions, but did have the opportunity to take advantage of the eastbound at one point and it was so helpful to have both. The spiral ring binder is a great feature. Can’t wait to use it again on another section.

Good maps
Good maps and very useful. A bit strange to read due to the reverse pages.

Very helpful in the planning and great to take on the (66) road
I bought this for some friends who were just setting off to drive Route 66 from Chicago. Which is making me insanely jealous. They had a number of other guides, but I read so many good reviews of this that I bought it as a present. They actually love it and said it was very helpful in the planning and will be great to take on the road.

Handy guide to Route 66
Bought as a gift for a family member driving Route 66. Appears a thorough read with lots of information. Although not 'pocket size' it's still a handy size that will fit in a glove box or door pocket. Slightly old fashioned looking in this modern era of information on phones but it has a slight retro feel to it with pages being slightly off white colour. I'd say it's more for the 'older' reader who wants to go on an adventure, whilst getting away from reliance on too much modern tech.

It takes some time getting used to, but very nice guide.

Concis, mais indispensable
Tres different des habiruels guides, c'est juste une liste de restaurants et d'hotels avec leurs coordonnées , leurs horaires et leurs spécialités. Ils sont classés par ordre géographique d'est en ouest donc faciles a trouver....
