BLACK+DECKER PowerCrush Digital Blender with Quiet Technology, Stainless Steel, BL1300DG-P

I’ve been very pleased with this blender. I make smoothies with it almost every day and it not only blends frozen milk cubes but “sticky” fruits like prunes very well. I don’t believe any blender can be termed “quiet” but it is much quieter than my previous blender. The first few times I used it, I had trouble taking it apart to clean it and my husband had to help me but now it’s easy for me to disassemble it myself. I also originally had a small amount of leakage but that is no longer a problem. So, if you’re concerned about it the first few times you use it, hang in there; it will work better the more it is used!

I suspect there’s a lot at play in the top 100 rankings of blenders on Amazon. Ninja, Vitamix, those all market themselves well and have influencers shill the heck out of them. But this one collects dust on the shelves when in reality it’s likely the answer to everyone’s needs. Oh, and it doesn’t smell like burning plastic like another $20 top-5 blender on the market. As far as noise goes, it is the ONLY — I repeat, ONLY — blender to date that we’ve had over 1.5 decades that doesn’t raise the ears of our cats (or make us shutter in pain when on level 2.) Obviously the more solid, frozen items you include in your drink, the louder the noise will be; however, with sufficient liquid and a handful of frozen strawberries, this thing more than capably blended on level one. I couldn’t be happier.

I love this blender. It blends so well the color and the strudiness are perfect the price was perfect. It blends the ice so well it blends so smooth the speed is great it's nice and quiet it's have a great quality and durable

It is loud enough to wake up a baby in the next room, it's definitely not the loudest blender, but to call it quiet is an overstatement. The last blender I had I would put on top of a pillow to quiet down because it was incredibly loud, so relative to that this one is almost pleasant to use. It's well built, the blades are safely dull. I add dates as an alternative to sugar, they do not blend well, there are always big pieces. There is gap around the blades on the bottom which food falls into and gets stuck. The blender always has to be taken apart to clean this area. It is a circular gap between the blade holder and the glass. The blender is powerful and blends carrots and whatnot into a puree. The result is still pulpy, but not chunky, except with the dates. It doesn't bubble up so even with less water than needed, it still pulls everything down and blends it. It is much more effective than something $20 cheaper in my experience. It's a well built and effective blender for the typical tasks one would expect a basic blender to do. It's not comparable to any specialized blender that is able to do fancy nut butters or whatever they do. I made the choice to get this and supplement with a food processor. It has some design flaws but still manages to be effective. I use it for hot and cold liquids. It is a glass jar. I never use the weird pour spouts in the lid because they have nooks and crannies to clean, I just take the lid off. The rubber feet are nice because they are not glued on, if they come off you can just put them back on. This blender is powerful. This is slightly better than most blenders, and not in the same class as the more expensive ones. It's just a blender.

I purchased this in part because I hate the loud noise of so many blenders and didn’t want to break the bank. First use or two, it was great. Solid glass jar, quieter than most. However, next time I used it, it started to vibrate and was quite loud. Now, at any setting but the lowest, it is ear shattering. If I hold the carafe firmly down, I can deaden the sound somewhat. On top of that, additions, such as garlic for a sauce, don’t even get chopped up. I had to strain them out and cut them up. On the hunt for another blender, that blends with a reasonable level of noise. Update March 2024 - Well, I reached out to the company and they agreed to replace the blender. They concluded that there was a defect in the motor. I really wanted this to be better. However I quickly learned that this new one was just as loud as the other one. I understand that blenders can be loud but that was the selling point for this one. Anyway, other than that, I attempted to blend a sauce the other day that had chopped up garlic and cilantro. It spun these around for quite a while and never so much as chopped them up. Give this one a pass.

It was suspect at first but I got the hang of it. It work great for my smoothies and other amazing concoctions. You’re welcome 😉

, if the blue light starts blinking that means the blender is overheating or is jammed but the blender has overheat protection so don’t worry like I did with my blender was blinking. I didn’t know what to do. I search on Google YouTube for hours until I came across an ad that says it might be jammed so I had checked the components of the blender. I unscrewed it to make sure there’s no pieces that could be lodged in it and I waited to the blender cool down and waited about two hours, and the blue lights went off heads up when using a blender make sure you put a lot of liquids in the blender first then any frozen fruits or foods or hard foods by the way it’s a good blender must buy

Have only used it once. It was easy to put together and easy to clean. We are Happy with our purchase

Perfect blender for me as all I wanted was less noise and to do my protein shakes every am! Does the job well and is quieter (not a lot) than the shake only blender I was using before. Not sure how it would perform on heavier jobs like making peanut butter etc

Way quieter than the ninja pro we had, and possibly the best priced quiet blender on the market.

El producto al momento funciona.bien, cumple con lo prometido en cuánto a que no hace demasiado ruido como una licuadora convencional y eso es lo que estaba buscando. Sin embargo la caja parecía que ya había sido abierta y venía un poco aplastada; digo es lo de menos siempre y cuando esta sea funcional, pero son detalles que si se deben de cuidar. Es por eso que le doy 4 estrellas y no 5.
