I drink this every day - good & reliable strong black tea
Unlike my wife, I am not a Hot Tea snob but then, she's Irish and lived near the Gertrude Ford Tea Company for years, and they make some pretty fine teas. Me, I am happy with good ole reliable Lipton Tea. I make a large pitcher of hot tea in the morning with milk and a little bit of sugar (very little bit) and then whatever I don't finish, I put in the fridge for later and drink it at night as my iced drink. Lipton delivers a good steady brew that is never too strong or too weak. If you add the water just before it boils, you won't get the bitter taste some people complain about. I also don't squeeze my tea bags out since that can also add bitterness. When I'm done, I clip my teabags together with a clothespin, hang them out to dry in the sun. When I have a good size bowl of used, dried out tea, I toss it all on our rose garden or other flower beds and it really helps the soil. We don't have room for a large compost pile, just a small composter on the back porch where we toss baked, sanitzed egg shells, tea leavings, coffee grounds and so forth. Trust ne - adding the tea leaves BACK to your soil is not only helpful but it keeps them out of the landfill. If you use 4 or 5 tea bags a day, that adds up. We have this on Subscribe & Save. UPDATE 4/4/13 : I recently tried the Lipton Tea 100% Green Tea, 40Count (Pack of 6) to try and replace my Black tea habit for a variety of reasons and I must say, I like it a lot. I like most teas but I'vve been trying to cut back on extra calories and dairy. Since I add milk to my Black tea, I thought making the lighter tasting and better for you Green Tea would be a good way to get rid of the milk. I've been replacing t my black tea with green tea sweetend only with organic honey or pure fruit juice and I've been enjoying it almost as much. I still have plenty of black tea and I'll probably still indulge in in on the weekends or on chilly days but the Green Tea is a nice change-up. My wife prefers DoMatcha Green Tea, Organic Matcha, 1.0-Ounce Tin , which is a whole 'nuther cup o' tea, literally! that's the green tea podwer that you use for the tea Ceremony. It's very strong and a bit much for me. I'm happy with my Lipton Green or Black teas!

I don't buy Liptons because it's the best tea, I buy it because it's the best ...
I don't buy Liptons because it's the best tea, I buy it because it's the best I can afford. For all my life we've been buying boxes of 100 Lipton tea bags. It's the kind of tea my grandparents drank, the kind my parents drank, the kind we drink and the kind our kids drink (the ones who like tea anyway). Our methods for making tea are as different as the people making it. My parents brought a small kettle of water to boil on the stove, dropped in six teabags and let it steep, then poured that into a glass gallon jar, added a small can of frozen concentrated lemonade, some sugar and filled it up with water. My grandmother made it the same but skipped the lemonade and only added sugar and water. By the time I got to be an adult I drank both hot and cold tea. I hated the stuff with lemonade and taught myself to drink it black no matter the temperature. Once in a while I like a cup hot with a little cream and sugar. My mom called that "pearl tea". Fast forward to some thirty-plus years later and hubby's method for making tea is to put two or three inches of water into a glass pitcher, throw in a couple of tea bags and stick it in the microwave for three minutes, let it steep then fill it with water and pour it into his glass. I sometimes use only four bags for a gallon of tea but that makes it really weak. In my opinion the optimum number for a gallon is six, and that's even pouring it over ice. In the end, tea is a pretty versatile drink and sometimes it's tasty too. As for me and mine, we'll keep buying Lipton because it's the best we can afford.

LIPTON TEA IS THE BEST TASTING TEA
I LOVE LIPTON TEA. I HAVE BEEN DRINKING IT FOR MANY YEARS. WHEN I STOPPED SMOKING OVER 50 YEARS AGO I ALSO GAVE UP COFFEE. A CIGARETTE AND COFFEE WENT TOGETHER. I CHOSE LIPTON TEA AS MY DRINK FOR BREAKFAST AND IN BETWEEN. I AM IN AN INDEPENDENT LIVING APARTMENT NOW AND THE FACILITY CHOOSES LIPTON TEA AS THEIR BRAND. GOOD CHOICE.

They even made it better!
No Kidding!! I'm not a fan of extra packaging I gotta futz with. So I don't mind the film that keeps the box fresh, and I can hang with the box, or the bags'd be all over the place. But for decades each tea bag had a paper sack and recently they notched the sack to hold the tag for no good reason I could figure out. The sack and the notch for the tag were just a PITA, IMO. So now, the sack is GONE! Just a box with a hundred bags and tags with string! YES!!! Somebody actually thought - or... Did they steal my brain waves?!??! Perhaps I should order a new tinfoil hat... Well Done, Lipton!! FYI, I put three tea bags in a gallon of water in the sun and bring it later in the day. In winter it takes a lot longer. I fill my bigazz cup half with ice and cold sun tea a couple of times a day. Life is good.

Good for hommade bubble tea or regular HK milk tea
I ordered this to make Hong Kong style milk tea. I have been using this brands for more than 20 years. I know how to make bubble tea since I was 6. It way better cheaper and healthier than bubble tea you buy in a store.

Taste & Value
We exclusively drink iced tea all the time. I make it from scratch with a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker and use the same amount of ingredients all the time. I like to keep a good supply of these ingredients on hand in the event I can't get to the store. Amazon is my way of doing this. I can buy in bulk and have it delivered to my front door. I am a diabetic and use Sugar Twin for my tea. This is sometimes hard to find, but Amazon keeps me well supplied. We love the taste of Lipton Tea and I don't use any other brand. One thing I wish they would do: make tagless tea bags so I won't have to do this before I make my tea. Try Lipton, it's really good, hot or cold, and let Amazon supply it, as well as many other items! If you buy enough, you won't have to pay for shipping either.
