So my lamp came with the mason jar conversion piece separate from the oil lamp. It was a little difficult to take off the regular oil lamp base/connection point and then put the mason jar conversion piece on. It seems to have worked and is fairly secure.

They do fit mason jars, but only mason jars, other jars like mason jars (same size), seem to fit loose, and not tighten up. They do work for standard mason jars. Keep in mind when burning indoors to always have some fresh air venting in from outside. (CO2 build up) BE SAFE

This worked to replace the original from this fake lamp my mother purchased over 50 years ago when she was out west. The lamp has sentimental value.

Threads on lid are not deep enough to tighten lid firmly had to cut side off and place inside mason lid then attach lamp once mounted I learned the wick needs to soak in lamp oil for about an hour this information was not included with lamp failure to do so will burn up the wick no worry I bought 10 feet of 3/4 inch wick only needed 6 inches but that ok purchased a 61/2 inch tall 3 inch bottom chimney now works great

does not work as advertised. mason lid will not tighten or seal. but the lamp top is fine. comes with smaller lid also

These are great. Pour paraffin lamp oil in a quart jar, attach this and light it. Put a few bricks on either side and you have a portable cooker. Or add a glass chimney and you have a great oil lamp. On the cheap. Lust remember to trim the wick. I own several and value them...
