The BEST customer support on Amazon, hands down!
January 2026 - More than a year after my original purchase, KU XIU has once again demonstrated an extraordinary level of long-term customer support. Following Apple’s release of iPadOS 26, the magnetic charging function on my KU XIU stands became incompatible with one of my iPads — an operating-system change that clearly could not have been anticipated when these products were designed. As I noted in a previous update, there was no immediate technical solution available at the time. What happened next is what truly sets this company apart. KU XIU has since engineered a new internal chip specifically designed to restore compatibility with iPadOS 26. After I reached out to ask whether this updated component might be available, they responded promptly, confirmed that I own two of their products, and offered to send two replacement chips so both units could be updated. There were no arguments, no requests for receipts, serial numbers, photos, or videos, and no shipping fees. Within days, I received a tracking number showing the parts already on their way from overseas. This kind of after-the-sale follow-through is exceptionally rare. KU XIU didn’t simply acknowledge a problem — they invested in a hardware solution long after purchase and are proactively supporting customers with updated components. I shop frequently and interact with many companies. I can honestly say I have never experienced this level of sustained care, accountability, and professionalism. KU XIU has earned my trust, my loyalty, and my future business. One final note for anyone concerned about magnetic strength: don’t be. The magnets on these stands are exceptionally strong. I can turn the stand upside down and gently shake it, and the iPad does not budge. These products are solid, thoughtfully designed, and very well made. Hats off to KU XIU — this is what outstanding customer service truly looks like. November 2025 — Several months after my purchase, I discovered that one of my iPads was no longer able to charge properly through the stand after updating to iPadOS 26. This was clearly an operating-system compatibility issue that did not exist at the time I originally purchased the product. I reached out to KU XIU to ask about it, and while they were upfront that they did not yet have a technical fix available, they were already aware of the issue and actively working toward a solution. Rather than dismissing the problem or deflecting responsibility, they took the time to understand my specific use case and made sincere efforts to help in whatever ways were possible at that moment. — Even without an immediate technical solution, every exchange felt thoughtful, human, and professional. It was clear they genuinely cared about the customer experience, made generous offers, and were committed to making things right once a proper fix became available. — Their products are solid and beautifully made, but interactions like this are what truly set KU XIU apart. The way they handled this situation gave me confidence to continue trusting the company as they worked toward a long-term resolution. ⸻ Update – August 2025 The company reached out to me via Amazon messages, and I have to say — they truly care. They went above and beyond to assist me without my even asking, and followed up months later to ensure everything was still working well. I’ve honestly never experienced this level of support. ⸻ Update – April 2025 (Four Months After Purchase) Over time, I’ve come to appreciate the design even more. The easy swivel at the base and ball-and-socket at the connection point to the iPad turned out to be the only daily adjustment I actually needed. What once felt like stiffness in the middle joints now feels like a feature, not a flaw. They’ve remained tight and haven’t sagged a bit. I have tried other iPad arms; they’ve all eventually sagged. Four months in now, this has not sagged, not in the slightest! I’m genuinely glad I chose this product for my setup. It may not suit everyone (it’s not a gas-spring arm, nor is it advertised as such), but for those who value stability and minimal daily fuss, it’s a fantastic option. One additional note worth sharing: KU XIU genuinely reads customer reviews and takes them seriously. After I posted my original three-star review, the company reached out to me directly—I did not contact them or request support. They asked thoughtful questions about how I was actually using the stand and offered practical options (at no cost to me) that might better suit my workflow at the time. The exchange felt personal, respectful, and entirely proactive on their part. There was no defensiveness—only a sincere desire to understand and help. That level of attentiveness is rare, especially months after purchase, and it speaks volumes about how this company operates. It’s reassuring to know that feedback isn’t ignored or routed into a void, but actually read and acted upon by real people. ⸻ Original Review – December 2024 The product description frequently uses the word “adjustable,” which is technically true—but worth clarifying for potential buyers. The base swivel and the ball-and-socket joint near the iPad are both easily adjustable and work extremely well. However, the two middle tube joints seem intentionally designed to remain very stiff once positioned and are not meant for frequent, on-the-fly repositioning. When I first purchased this stand, I expected to move it fluidly during use—pulling it closer to write, then pushing it back with minimal effort. That was my misunderstanding. This is not a gas-spring arm, and the middle joints require deliberate force to adjust. You may need to stand up and use both hands to apply enough pressure to reposition those joints. Once set, however, they stay exactly where you put them and do not sag—ever. With time, I found the sweet spot for those middle joints and realized that for my personal workflow, I rarely need to move them. The adjustments I do use daily are the smooth base swivel and the ball-and-socket joint, which allow effortless changes in viewing angle. Orientation & Mounting (Important Clarification) For the C-clamp version, the clamp grips the short edge of a 13-inch iPad rather than spanning the long side. This does not limit orientation. Once mounted, the iPad can be rotated freely between portrait and landscape using the ball-and-socket joint. The tension knob behind the ball joint allows you to lock it firmly in place or leave it slightly loose so the iPad can be rotated smoothly without retightening each time. I’ve used both mounting options—the C-clamp and the magnetic plate—and both are absolutely solid. The C-clamp easily supports even the largest iPads, and the magnetic mount is far stronger than I initially expected. I’ve literally tested it by turning the mount upside down over a soft surface shaking it—the iPad did not move at all. The magnets are exceptionally strong. Build Quality & Design This stand is beautifully designed. The aluminum construction looks premium and genuinely space-age—nothing about it feels cheap or flimsy. It looks at home on a professional desk or workspace. KU XIU clearly thought through real-world use: • An open channel runs through the center of the arm for cable management • Transparent cable clips are included, making cables easy to route yet nearly invisible • Rubber pads protect your desk • Every joint feels intentional, solid, and over-engineered in the best way The result is a stand that feels engineered for stability and longevity. Bottom Line If you’re looking for a stand that stays exactly where you set it and will never sag over time, this is an excellent choice. It offers outstanding stability, a smooth base swivel, easy orientation changes, and a premium build that inspires confidence. The only thing that would make this perfect is if the middle joints allowed adjustable tension—for example, via an Allen key—so users could fine-tune resistance. That said, once you understand the design philosophy, this becomes a strength rather than a flaw.

Stupidly sturdy, keeps your tablet exactly where you want it
I recently bought a new nightstand-shelf for next to my bed, and I had an idea in my head when I was ordering it. I keep my tablet by my bed so I have something for noise when I sleep, and for something to do if I decide it's a selfcare day and don't feel like leaving my bed most of the day. Before this stand, I made my own out of cardboard and hot glue sitting on an old tv tray. Don't judge me, old bachelor habits die hard. This bad boy, I didn't even have to go searching for or asking for advice for, it was one of the first suggestions amazon had listed. Everything else I saw was like a flexible wire gooseneck stand, or more like a mic stand swingarm deal. As soon as I laid eyes on this, I had a feeling it was the one. I didn't find anything else that seemed nearly as robust, and sure, while I could have gone cheaper, or less solid, I knew I'd just be using something I'd have to constantly adjust and micromanage. I got this a day or two before my new stand, so I tried it on my old setup. Suffice to say, I could not use this at ALL on it without nearly flipping my table, the joints were so stiff and unyielding. This would be a negative in most cases, but seeing as I was going to mount it on something that was probably a good 25 times heavier than this side table, it was perfect. Once I'd received my new stand and set it up fully, I mounted this on it, and it was perfect; It takes decent force to rotate the base, it takes more force to adjust the joints on the arm itself, and it keeps your tablet stable and exactly where you'd left it. Now I do have some potential advice for using this, but I'm honestly not positive that it actually does anything, I had done this before I even had my stand yet. I was messing around with it, checking how stiff the joints actually were compared to the video showing this stand off, and it's pretty accurate. So before I even mounted this anywhere, I took a can of 3-in-1 oil and put a few drops in the joints and the base, and started working the joints open and close, and twisting the base back and forth to work the oil in. This was still VERY hard to do, but it seems like it might have made it slightly easier to move the joints where I want them to be. If it's hard for you to move, maybe give something like that a try. Aside all of that, I can't recommend this stand enough.

Very solid tablet holder
My work presented me a Samsung S8+ for my years of service. I won't write about that, but this is like a $800 tablet. There is no place for this on my desk, so I looked at a variety of holders. The first criteria was being able to hold a 10.5" tablet. Many of these types of holders are unable to hold tablets this large. So check that off. The second thing I had to have was an ability to clamp to my tiny 48" x 24" desk. Check. It will accomodate a fairly thick table. One side has a large disk that makes contact with the desk. This is important because a lot of these stands simply have a puny "c" clamp. Third thing. My tablet MUST STAY WHERE I POSITIONED IT. A staggering number of 4 and 5 star holders have problems with weak internal parts that break and cannot and WILL not hold their position. I put this up the other day and my tablet has not budged a single centimeter. When reading product reviews, ignore the top ratings. Read the most recent one * reviews to find out flaws and issues you may encounter with any given product. Also, a 1 * complaint percentage greater than 5% indicates some potentially serious defects with a product. This holder is built like a tank. It is quite heavy and will take whatever position you put it in. Note that there is limited range for setting the holder arms. This is not a flexible mount. That said, putting your tablet in position takes a not insignificant amount of force. I am not sure if this will get better with time, or maybe a few sprays of dry lube, but there is no way to adjust the tension of the arms. You get what you pay for in the case of these tablet holders. This is obviously more expensive than the average prices for similar tablet holders. This mount is a solid piece of kit and I know my new tablet is going to stay right where I put it. The mount is definitely worth the higher cost , superior parts and first rate build quality. The mount is shipped inside a form fitting insert in the box. Look at this mount if you need a quality component that won't ... let you down. Update 12/18/23 - Still very satisfied with it. Worth the money.

Update: Just the right amount of stiff once you know how to use it.
Update to my original review: After posting my original review the manufacturer reached out to me with very helpful information and a video on how to bend and position the folding arms. After viewing the video and trying again I was able to position the arms more easily and now view the stiffness as a "feature, not a bug". Moving each section one at a time very much makes a difference. The stiffness eases a bit after several movements and this has helped as well. They also recommended one of their other products that might be better for my needs which it is. I will still caution users to make sure the base if firmly pushed against the table surface fully and it is tightly screwed before moving the arms. I now have the arm position firmly on my headboard and can use my 12.9 inch iPad with one had without it moving or shaking. After mounting it several times, I see the base seems to be lasting and has not shown any signs of the lower quality that I first thought it may be. I have updated my review to a five-star based on extremely good customer support as well as the mount working as desired after learning more on how best to use it. Original review: Finally got around to using this and here are my thoughts. It is very well made (very strong aluminum) except the clamp on base which seems lower quality than the rest of the unit but is working so far. That said, it was almost impossible, and I mean that, to bend the arms into any position. Just getting the unit unfolded took 2 people, one to hold the base and first arm and the me to tug to start any kind of movement from its folded position. On the positive side, once you have it in the position you want, it is NOT moving, so that can be a plus for some people. However, adjusting the unit to any other position takes strength and you have to be sure you will not break the base clamp off the mounted surface because you have to use so much force. I chose not to return because I am simply leaving it on my desk and not attempting to use it. Also, it is a bit shorter than I had hoped for bedside use.

Unable to support the weight of a 13" M4 iPad Pro within a few weeks of usage mine failed.
Many of the reviews speak about how stiff it is to adjust, however I saw this as a huge plus as I wanted something that could be positioned with a multitude of angles and adjustments and simply stay there without creeping down due to gravity. Initially I found this unit to be wonderful, however, after about 6 weeks of use it became clear that the item has a serious design flaw. The unit has a ball joint at the end that attaches to the universal spring loaded attachment that holds onto your tablet. When arranging the arm in certain positions the weight of my M4 iPad Pro 13" with screen protector and case appears to be too heavy to support the tablet at the desired angle without the screen unfortunately drooping and point downard and failing to maintain the desired angle. Initially this was not an issue, but after a few weeks of usage the ball joint can no longer be tightened enough to maintain the desired angle and simply rotates based on the force of gravity and the weight of my tablet. For smaller lighter tablets this might be an okay arm mount, but this clearly doesn't fit the bill for what I was looking for unfortunately. I will say, however, that the build quality in terms of the materials used and quality of the finish is exceptionally made. Additionally, the arm is aesthetically beautiful, from a design standpoint. If only they had hard mounted the tablet holder with articulating joints at the arm this would have been an exceptional product. The plastic ball joint has been the point of failure for other tablet arm mounts I've used in the past. The magnetically mounted M4 iPad Pro 13" arm overall seems to be the product I SHOULD have gotten to begin with. However, I'm stuck with this one as my return window through Amazon has closed. Best of luck for any of you looking for an arm based tablet holder. Anything larger / heavier than a standard (10.9 or 11 inch) iPad likely will droop over time as well.

Sturdy but not too sturdy
I preface this post by saying I bought this for my external drawing monitor. I’m sure this is fantastic for iPads or holding a small screen up for you. As other reviews suggest, this thing is a little tough to open and maneuver when you first pull it out of the package. That’s all fine - it should hold the tablet in place quite nicely… right? Well, my issue comes with the clip to the tablet. The small ball joint behind it is super easy to push when trying to draw. I have tried tightening it as much as I can and yet it will still move when I try to draw. I also still find that the stiff arms get pushed back when I try to draw with this. Overall, I’ll still use this to hold my tablet as a secondary screen; however, I probably won’t use this for the purpose of holding my tablet while I draw. It’s too easily moved while drawing.

Is it sturdy and difficult for some to bend or what? I like it.
When I viewed one reviewer, who seem out of breath and grunted a lot, trying to unfold the holder. I kind of laughed at it. Now that I got it, I could not believe how actually tough it was to unfold the first time. Of course I’m 78 years old that might have a little bit to do with it, but this thing is so well built I was immediately impressed. it fits just fine using my side table that is close to 2 inches in thickness. Once I got it set up, everything was as I hoped for. My iPad 11 inch did not sag one bit when it was on, unlike the gooseneck tablet holder that I also have. One of the picture above shows a gooseneck tablet holder that I had set up on my exercise bike and it has a magnet that will hold the iPhone or iPad. However, when I exercise the whole gooseneck/11” tablet will shake a little bit, so this would not be an ideal place to put it. I much prefer a sturdy tablet holder on a desk table that is not attached to the bike, but I had no choice. Tablet holder is well recommended. The arm length was just perfect for me, but maybe another manufacturer could extend that another 4”/5” inches.

Perfect for the Nintendo Switch
I'm using it with my Switch when someone else is using the TV. This way, I can play comfortably in my living room as if I were actually playing on the TV. The arm is difficult to adjust, but it also means it stays in place once positioned!

Stiff
It’s a good quality but maybe too stiff for my purposes. I don’t know if it will loosen up a little with use because the stiffness makes me not want to use it. It would have been cool if it had different attachment options for the head instead of just spring loaded clamps. Like a magnet, a tripod screw, or a vesa mount.
