Instead use HG Extreme Power Cleaner to remove the algae and mould. **Q: Can it be used near artificial grass?** A: Dear Madam- our product contains a bleaching element that could damage the artificial grass. **Q: Could this be used on a wooden staircase without damaging the wood?** A: Sorry, I can't be of any help to you. Ive used it only on a wooden fence outside where it worked very well and did no damage to that. **Q: Is it safe near a pond** A: That depends what you have in the pond. This is an algae and mould remover. So it will kill algae. I would not expect that it will do pond life any good at all as it will be similar in action to bleach. From memory, the label indicates that it is a hazardous material. If you want to use it to remove algae from around the border of a pond then you should try to prevent the HG liquid from getting into the pond. I would cover the pond with polythene and tape the edges to stop the liquid and any vapour from getting to the pond surface, particularly if you have fish in the pond.
